Christian television network founder and preacher Marcus Lamb, who discouraged vaccinations, dies after being hospitalized for Covid-19
Marcus Lamb often spoke out against the Covid-19 vaccines on his show. In an episode earlier this year featuring anti-vaccine activists Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Del Bigtree, Lamb said the Covid-19 vaccine was "not really a vaccine," but an "an experimental shot" that was "dangerous.
Marcus Lamb alleged without evidence that people were dying or having neurological disorders from the vaccine.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say Covid-19 vaccines "are safe and effective" and that any adverse events after vaccination "are very rare but may occur." People who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 were 11 times more likely to die of the disease and 10 times more likely to be hospitalized with the disease, according to a study published by the CDC.

@kcblitzkrieg I feel sorry for the parents of the students. I can't imagine the pain of losing a kid because another parent bought their kid a gun & it was misused. As a country, we have failed to protect our kids in schools for years.
As a country we have parents that have failed to raise civil citizens.
I'm in a liberal/democratic area and I can not remember the last time someone said "excuse me" while trying to walk past me in the store/confined area. Seems like people have lost or never learned manors while in public and feel it's getting worse. I don't notice the lack of politeness in more red areas when I visit. I've noticed in more populated areas (which tend to be more blue areas) people are not nearly as nice and welcoming. Maybe it's because there's so many people that they choose to ignore everyone else and mind their own business. When in red areas I notice a lot more people are cordial when walking down the street with a friendly "hello".

The kid who shot up his school used his father's gun which was purchased last Friday. Prosecutors are considering charging the Dad as well.
Sadly, school shootings are too common. Charging parents is a wake up call to gun owners that they need to be more responsible in safeguarding their guns. But charging parents isn't enough to stop gun violence. Obvious solution is better gun control which majority of Americans support. Unfortunately, US is constrained and unable to do what other countries have successfully done to reduce gun violence.

Biden administration announces no US government officials will attend 2022 winter olympics to protest China human rights abuses. American athletes are still allowed to participate though.

Never heard of Oxford, MI until yesterday. The kid who shot up his school used his father's gun which was purchased last Friday. Prosecutors are considering charging the Dad as well. I hope they do. These parents are a real piece of work. The FBI is now searching for them.
Those parents are said to be republican, but I haven't seen a confirmation on that yet.

On the surface it doesn't add up to much, but we see today that China is really ticked off, and pledges to retaliate against President Biden.

90% of gun homicides are committed by people in illegal possession of a firearm.
How would you like to address this issue?

They are very unhappy with the US:
"Out of ideological bias and based on lies and rumors, the US is trying to disrupt the Beijing Winter Olympics. This will only expose its sinister intention and further erode its moral authority and credibility," ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said at a news conference Tuesday.

In this case those parents appear to be typical lowlifes who tried to evade authorities. Eventually apprehended and handcuffed.
Yes, irresponsible gun owners should be charged and VERY heavily penalized.
This should include all underaged persons having any access to military assault weapons.

Where did you see the data stating 90% of homicides were from illegally obtained guns? I saw a stat around 72% but that national data is over a decade old & hasn't been tracked by the Bureau of Justice Statistics since 2004.
Gun ownership laws vary from state to state & nothing prevents a scumbag from getting a legally purchased gun from a friend, family member or a gun show.

US problem is a perverse culture where children are encouraged to carry guns around. Shooting each other is legal and socially acceptable. Laws fit around this madness. According to Miami Herald, mostly far right groups consider books more dangerous than guns. American library association reveals there have been over 50 attempts to censor books in US schools and libraries which is the most in 20 years! Some of these books are valuable in helping children educate themselves. But protesters falsely claim some books are subversive and immoral. Some even threaten teachers, librarians and school board members who are dedicated to public service and educating youth.

We who are non-trumpers share your concern, grief and despair.
Just look at this crap from an influential REPUBLICAN:
From the November 12, 2021, edition of The Daily Wire's The Matt Walsh Show, streamed on YouTube...
(Republican) MATT WALSH (HOST):
" Yeah, we know that Kyle Rittenhouse shot three people. Guess what? Shooting people is not against the law! There's no law anywhere that says 'don't shoot people.' Killing people, also, isn't against the law... "
