Gavin Newsom hits highest approval rating in years, poll says

A major California pollster found that Gov. Gavin Newsom's
approval rating is the highest it's been in years.

A Public Policy Institute of California poll released Wednesday
found that 58% of California adults approve of the job Newsom
is doing, which is a 4 percentage point increase from the last
time the poll was conducted, in October 2022.
That 58% mark is the highest Newsom has seen in
a PPIC poll since the middle of 2020.

FBI conducting search of Pence’s home

The FBI is currently conducting a search of former Vice President
Mike Pence’s home in Indiana, a source familiar with the situation
told CNN.

A private attorney for Pence is at the Indiana house
while the search is underway, the spokesperson added.

The FBI is also expected to search Pence’s office in Washington, DC,
in the coming days, sources told CNN.

The search comes after the FBI and the Justice Department’s
National Security Division launched a review of the documents
and how they ended up in Pence’s house.

More than half of Twitter’s top 1,000 advertisers stopped spending on platform since Musk takeover, data show

More than half of Twitter’s top 1,000 advertisers in September were no longer spending on the platform in the first weeks of January, according to data provided to CNN by digital marketing analysis firm Pathmatics by Sensor Tower, in a striking sign of how far reaching the advertiser exodus has been following Elon Musk’s acquisition of the company.

Some 625 of the top 1,000 Twitter advertisers, including major brands such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, Jeep, Wells Fargo and Merck, had pulled their ad dollars as of January, according to estimates from Pathmatics, based on data running through January 25.

As a result of the pullback, monthly revenue from Twitter’s
top 1,000 advertisers plummeted by more than 60% from
October through January 25, from around $127 million to
just over $48 million, according to the data.

a $4.5 billion advertising business for Twitter. After Musk
completed his takeover of the company in late October,
advertisers began to worry about the safety and stability
