You mean except for the record number of people on Food stamps, right?
About 46.514 million Americans received aid, up from 46.286 million in November, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said today in an e-mail. Participation was 5.5 percent higher than a year earlier.
...
The number of Americans receiving assistance under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the initiative better-known as food stamps, set records every month from December 2008 until June 2011.
The government spent $6.22 billion on the program in December, the last month for which food-stamp figures are available.

Thousands of troops and contractors still in Iraq. It would be fun to pretend that we were out, but we have created a permanent presence to guard BP's oil fields.
We should be out of Afghanistan by now, I am highly doubtful that we will make a full withdrawal by Dec of 2013.
This Obama administration has not differed from the Bush administration One Iota when it comes to military action.
Except Obama clearly stated that He did not Need the congress, and went to war in LIbya for the "legitimacy of the United Nations", at the request of the Arab League.
Don't see how in the world any could say Obama's military actions have been the same as Bush's except in the absolute broadest sense. Rick, do you seriously see no difference in bombing & invading Iraq at the cost of those lives & money for all those yrs (& neccessitating staying there longer) to continuing & stepping up the war in Afghanistan (where if anywhere that's where we should have been focused in the 1st place) & the limited involvement in Libya without the loss of 1 life?

That isn't correct. Latest troop count reflects embassy personnel. There are approx. 354 troops there other than Embassy personnel.
The President did the right then in Libya, just as many others before him did in these types of actions.
How many contractors? Thousands.
There was a hiring Bonanza last spring. they were trying to get anyone they could to fill the thousands of (traditionally soldier) roles so that they could come up with some artificially low troop level.
Go ahead and believe that there are not thousands of Americans still in Iraq, being paid by our govt.
I wish I could.
The president involved our country in a civil war, that was conflated and mis-reported. They were not peaceful protesters, they were an insurgency, Ghaddafi was popular and would have won an election if they held one. (Most likely why NATO shot the idea of an election down).
We spent quite a bit of money, going to war for the interests of other countries, completely eviscerating the idea of checks and ballances.
I do not understand how you give a pass on this one.
I know you are in love with Obama, but the clear fact is that he has set a new standard in going to war. He went to war without ANY OVERSIGHT. NO checks , No balances.
How do you think that is a good thing?
Would you support a Republican if they did that?
Or is this just a partisan thing?

There is a difference in the tactics applied.
Obama seems to really love the Drones, he has had drone wars going on in Yemen, Syria, Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He has severely ramped up the war capabilities of our drone fleets.
He loves them so much he is going to deploy 30,000 to monitor American Skies.
I really see no difference between Bush and Obama Militarily or economically, they are two sides of the same coin.
Wars, Bailouts, and taking civil liberties = Bush and Obama.

But he is building momentum, continuing his great record of being there for the American people.
Federal debt: up 35%
Federal deficit: up 85%
Gas prices: up 100%
Number on food stamps: all time record
Number of Americans working: lowest in 30 years
Number of jobs created: Negative 2.3 million
You aren't serious or sane.
So you want Obama to forcefully make the job creators to create jobs and control gas prices. Sounds a lot like communism. In order for people not to need food stamps they must have a way to make money and with the job creators not creating jobs, then that will never happen. The amount of people on food stamps also has to do with the increase of baby's being born but republicans are against birth control, so the US will have more dumbasses that need to be fed. The deficit is about money already spent. Both political parties are dumb.

Contractors aren't military. We are still rebuilding Iraq. That requires manpower. The President said most if not all military would be out by the end of 2012...there still has to be some presence there. No one in their right mind would fail to understand this. It is in our best interests. There have been 16 instances exactly like the situation in Libya where we have used US military the past 120 years. This is not an unusual situation. Both parties have done this. As you must recall, Vietnam wasn't approved either. We were there long before anyone even knew about it.

I agree, the withdrawal of troops was a dog and pony show made for elections. The job is not done, and we are still spending shit-tons of cash there. There are still men and women (who took off the uniform in exchange for a higher paycheck). They still do the bidding of the US govt. Sure you are absolutely correct that they are not soldiers, but do not make the mistake of thinking that they are not a military force.
.This is not an unusual situation. Both parties have done this.
This is very telling on your though process.

The National Debt stood at $10.626 trillion the day Mr. Obama was inaugurated. The Bureau of Public Debt reported today that the National Debt had hit an all time high of $13.665 trillion [In Oct of 2010, of course now it is $15.4 T].
The Debt increased $4.9 trillion during President Bush's two terms. The Administration has projected the National Debt will soar in Mr. Obama's fourth year in office to nearly $16.5-trillion in 2012. That's more than 100 percent of the value of the nation's economy and $5.9-trillion above what it was his first day on the job.

We had direct involvement in Libya, but not without the loss of 1 life....without the lose of one American life would be more accurate ..
According Libyan Internal Health Minister at least 30,000 people were killed,50,000 wounded and 4,000 people are still missing, presumed dead..but America had a good reason to launch a war of aggression against Libya without a congressional declaration of war because..........
They were a threat to the national security of the United States...

Republicans are against birth control, that's a fact.
Second, you are blaming Obama for not creating jobs and for high gas prices. Which means you believe he is to blame for it and he should step in and control it.
The deficit is money already spent and blaming him for it is like saying that his car is the only source of pollution.

Republicans are against birth control, that's a fact. -------- i would say many are against mandating insurance companies bill me (who doesnt need birth control) to pay for others who want but do not have birth control
its more of a wealth transfer thing
obama has no control over gas prices absent abolishing the Federal Reserve Act by executive order

No it isn't a "fact" you have no proof for this "fact" and should stop repeating it.
Second, you are blaming Obama for not creating jobs and for high gas prices
=============
Huh? Obama doesn't "create jobs" and gas prices are high in part because Obama has done his best to restrict the supply of oil.
Which means you believe he is to blame for it and he should step in and control it.

Um, no, I do not. I'm sorry you can't understand that.

Actually, the deficit is a yearly accounting of how much more the government spends than it takes in. Whatever you're trying to say is abjectly false.
Obama has increased spending more any President in the history of America. Obama has increased the debt faster than any President in the history of America.

I'm for less dumbasses on earth, that are in the way and taking up space. Republicans should be for less people on government assistance. It's a women's issue anyway and i have a penis. Let the people with vaginas vote and let the vaginas decided what to do about birth control and their bodies.

Since gas prices are directly related to the price of oil, why didn't gas prices go down after we invaded Iraq?
And then when they finally did go down, wasn't that due to the economic collapse from the housing market bubble bursting?

Republicans have made it difficult to get access to birth control in some states. Mitt Romney’s stance on birth control is clearly anti-birth control. Republicans have even told schools not to even mention contraception in Sex-Ed programs. Republicans believe immorality creates the problem of wanting to use the pills. Republicans are fighting for this crazy idea of protected innocence fueled by thoracic beliefs. Separation of church and state was created for a reason. Enforcing theocratic totalitarian authoritarian views on me is ok but enforcing liberal libertarian views is wrong? I hate being forced to buy car insurance but I know it’s for my own good. Who cares about how much money Obama adds to the trillions already spent? 1 trillion or 5 trillion is impossible to pay back anyway no matter who the puppet in office is. It’s all bills that have to be paid and ideas that have to be paid for that were created before he was ever in office.
You blame Obama for unemployment, so that means you believe he should forcefully make the job creators create jobs or let the job creators control and dictate the president of the united states by bitching and moaning to get their way. Obama inherited the problems with the Middle East, refineries are shutting down, and Iran is a pain in the ass that no one can control. So, gas prices are out of his control and if the US drilled every possible drilling opportunity, it would only drop gas prices by a few cents. There are also environmental reasons for not expanding offshore drilling. I assume it has to do with oil disasters, protecting people, and the coastal economy. Until republicans and democrats can agree on energy independence, things will never change. What else have you heard in the bubble that you live in?
