How can we leave her alone..when she won't go away ?

Immigrants leave their homes in Mexico, and other places , knowing damn well they will be retained at our border. They also know damn well that their children cannot be sent to jail with them .........................so fast forward...............the separation is the price they are willing to pay for their kids to have a chance in this country.

So the question still remains ..............ARE THEY OUR CITIZENS  ?

I dont hold your opinion on what constitutes citizenship. I dont think that MANY "citizens" deserve citizenship while many non-citizens deserve it MORE than many citizens.

These silly comments you make show more bias than anything else, why say crap like the above it makes you come off as some intolerant racist.

How about we determine citizenship by more than being born here because everyone at some point living here is a relative to someone that crossed the border and into the country. Why not focus on welcoming people who want to contribute and kicking out those who do not? Id rather have 50k hard working foreigners than a bunch of lazy criminals who take from society and add very little.

Life is subjective...there are very few yes and no blanket answers when it comes to social issues and PEOPLE..but you keep going with these racist Mexican people crossing a river are less deserving rants, it comes off very well.

Wallstreet you make the assumption that I am anti immigration. You do know I'm talking about illegal immigrants. Play the race card, it's all you have. You seem to make no distinction between illegal and legal migrants, as if they are equal under the law. 

You believe a person entering illegally into a country should be granted the same rights as natural born or those with legal immigrant status? Is that the gist of your argument. 

How do you know they are hard working people if they arrive illegally without identification in the middle of the night? How do vet them? Obviously you dont, correct

Read what YOU wrote then see how the conclusions I drew are based on your words. Every single citizen legally here either crossed themselves or a relative crossed into the country one way or the other...the desire to improve their lives is usually the reason for coming, there are some which are looking for trouble that come and there are MANY citizens who cause trouble as well...there is no blanket "illegals are bad" argument yet you are forcing it to be one.

There is no way to vet that is for sure the case and we do not have the personnel nor the money to vet, it does not make economic sense but that does not mean you pull a racist Trump approach and kick all out and who cares about the person or their contribution.

Keep in mind illegals serve a great purpose economically and if they could they would gladly keep working hard and take citizenship but the fear of being removed is too great, they dont know how to stay and get citizenship especially under this administration. 

Bottom line is your YES or NO approach is ridiculous, your river crossing racist comments are really poor. The issue is complex, obviously too complicated for our short attention span leader, but for sure it deserves more open minded discussion than you seem to want to give.

Wallstreet you do realize the notion of Sanctuary Cities has come up for vote? The votes are cast either "yes or no".

Now for me being a racist let's discuss that. I work as a lobster fisherman in Cape Breton. When the season ends I work at Cabot Links/Cliffs. My GOD also works there, she is in housekeeping. The housekeeping dept. has several immigrants working  there 20 or so, chinese, mostly students. They stay in staff accomodations. Now in the last two weeks we have hosted a few of them for dinner few drinks and so on. They are far from home and we thought they would enjoy a home cooked meal. 

Now why would a racist invite immigrants into their home? I assume you have recently hosted some new arrivals to your country as well ...yes? Have you? In the last month or so? We're they illegal or lawful. Have you ever had an MS-13 member over for dinner?

It's easy to cast everyone that doesn't agree with open borders as racist, but the proof is in the pudding.

How often do you host recent immigrants in your home, not family, not someone related to immigrants, but actual recent immigrants. New arrivals. I'mean not saying you don't host new arrivals, just curious when the last time you broke bread with some.

The stuff you said about the vote is obvious, yeah there are votes cast for many issues and causes, that is not remotely the point. The point has been made many times already, this is not a YES or NO ISSUE...there is no perfect solution but they are people just the same as you and me. I do not consider myself any better than anyone else, illegals or citizens, wealthy or poor. I am fortunate and thankful for what I have and I have compassion and understanding for issues like this, unlike Trump and many on this board it seems.

I used the example of the students from China to illustrate my compassion for people of all races. These underpaid workers are putting themselves through college on that wage. I'm not a US saviour. I'm from Canada. Never claimed to be their saviour, since when is inviting a person for supper a bad thing?

You can detail your interaction with immigrants. No need to belittle me or some Chinese students. What wage would you expect a summer student to collect?

So I am assuming in the last month you have had a recent immigrants in your home, cooked for them  bought them drinks, picked them up and dropped them off?  Paid for out of your pocket. Now that is a yes or no question.

Chinese students are not even remotely the same as what we are discussing here, that is a huge swing and a miss but thats ok..you think someone of a different ethnicity is the same as another. I can tell you the issue in the US isnt about Chinese students...and being in Arizona I think I have an idea about the issue.

Congrats on hosting some Chinese students for dinner and paying, that is a very nice thing to do but really that is not at all what this topic and issue is about in the slightest. Maybe the real issue is something you do not understand given the comments you made and keep making.
