The difference between open borders for immigrants and open borders is that open borders for immigrants is that people can move from one country to another with very little restriction...an open border policy is one that is free movement with no restrictions and lacks sufficient or little to no border control...
The US suffers from knowing that illegals come into this country without going through proper protocols/procedures and it knows that it cause dangers to its citizens but is not really creating systems to combat this...it is also somewhat encouraging the behavior, which has worsened tremendously, by not creating or implementing measures to fight this...the lack of attention at the border has been a problem for decades...sure there are areas patrolled and even some being sent back, but it doesn't deter them from trying and trying and again...this is what has to stop...there always needs to be repercussions or the act is not deterrent enough for anyone to stop...this means cooperation from Mexico and other nations...Since no help from them is happening, then the US needs to be more creative and more diligent in its efforts at our borders....we simply are not doing so...what's the point of half assing the border...immigrants know that they do not have to come here legally and they can still reap the rewards of living here...how is that fair? Would you be extended the same courtesy if you were doing so in another country? The answer is no....We allow it because we can but that doesn't make it right...It is becoming an increasing problem and it can be fixed but no one will create the stance necessary to stand up to it...
Our border is open, you can believe that....the few checkpoints here and there is not the issue...it is the will and determination seen by these immigrants to get across the border by any means necessary and to keep trying until they do...therein lies the problem...we should be a nation that is more in control of this instead of what is and has become...
