I take it a step further and I say it doesn't even matter what the country's consensus is on asylum. Perhaps majority opinion is not necessarily the best way to come to a conclusion.
I'm deviating a bit here but I was trying to talk about Anthony Bourdain for a minute with my friend the other night. It was because my friend pointed out some executive at the baseball game roughly around our age and how he's more successful than us. I argued that success is just a measure of what society values and what supposedly matters. Did that individual compromise himself in the process of being successful? Is he actually happy with life? Bourdain was successful by how society measures it but obviously he was discontent and unsatisfied. I saw suicide calls increased to one major hotline in the U.S. after his death. When I contemplate life, I think about what I personally believe is the right thing to do in a given situation. The right thing to do is offer asylum in credible situations where it applies. I do not think that anyone could convince me to think otherwise about the issue.

Sickness,........ Seriously, If you haven't figured it out by now, Trump believes in an America 1st policy. This means Trump is sick of taxpayers footing the bill for all these people seeking asylum , and others abusing illegal immigration to this country. Do we have some sort of moral obligation for accepting these folks with hardship into this country ? If you think there is some sort of moral obligation, do your yourself a favor and go to Church, and help others who are less fortunate. There are plenty of U.S. citizens that don't get the same federal support as these illegal aliens.
I encourage people to start looking at how Canada, Australia, and New Zealand have a "merit based" immigration system. They ask those wishing to seek citizenship how will they contribute to the host country. What a novel concept...
It's time this country starts changing its immigration polices as well, asking those seeking entry how they will help this country, instead of taking away (from its citizens).
And build that damn Wall already !

My buddy of mine is from Maine and he said that there is a huge problem with the Somalians in that state as well. How the heck they handle the cold weather up there. I assume they don’t come out that time of year. That’s a complete turn around climate speaking. I do know that there are a ton of illegal Haitians where I am at. They are in a war with the Jamaicans. Someone is getting shot everyday.

simply do not understand the majority of the somalians first they come from a complete nightmare begged the usa for sanctuary then our government places them here in basically ice land 10 weeks of summer and 10 months to get there again. Finally they go back to same tribal fuedal system they left. A maylee broke out in a park 25 whites against 200 or so somalians a whiteman died. They dont discrimnate they hate white blacks hispanics and all christians the same . Same idiots saying west is bad go back to the hell you left in somalia your home why create a new hell here. The more i learn of them the more I despise them. I trade them for central americans in a new york second.
