It just shows that people cannot help to take advantage of opportunities, its pretty disgusting he has been getting paid for a long long time and for sure is a total conflict of interest. You cant be completely unbiased when you are receiving benefits from ANYONE in the general public, yet we allow all of them to do it with little recourse.
I think it’s unreasonable to expect every justice to come in with no bias - we all have our biases and personal politics and baggage. But what makes Thomas’ case exceptionally disgusting and indefensible is his repeated asking for handouts from Republicans and receiving them and then literally being the resident troll on the SCOTUS who is beholden to his financiers.

The fact Justice Alito had to post a 3-page letter blaming his wife for flying flags & showing support for the January 6 attackers is exactly why Justice Alito's impartiality can be reasonably called into question, thus requiring his recusal from any case regarding J6.

To my point...all of these people are hugely flawed...I mean that may not even be strong enough verbiage...everyone has dirt, but some just kick it up more frequently....
My mother always told me, there are a lot of shoulds in life, but there is a vast difference between what should take place and what actually does take place...we elect these officials on the premise of what they should do, but more often than not we are disappointed by their actions...there are no angels in any of this and we are people...we accept some or certain faults but are opposed to other traits...I suppose freedom of speech and expression comes into play most times and I suppose to each their own, and most elected officials in any area are either loved or hated with generally no middle ground...isn't that really what life is...don't we really go through life with this same condescending thumbed noses kind of outlook...as people we are flawed, yet we are expecting more from people just because they are elected but they are once again just people that are flawed...
