    It isnt like I have a zillion discussions with people about it but as of yet I have not found anyone middle class that saw a benefit. I itemize pretty tightly meaning I know all of what I qualify for and now they are all gone but my previous marginal bracket was lower than my current new one.

    I think Repubs could care less if taxes are higher or even if much of their standards are gone as long as the sacred few are intact which include religion, same sex rights attacking, excessive gun rights, attacking the "liberal" political position (social programs etc).

    I've not heard a peep from conservatives here or that I know in person about the reality and facts of the lies from Trump and campaign promises not kept or that taxes are higher...as long as the conservative agenda is intact they could not give a crap or what a disgusting pig he is and how disrespectful he is day in and out.

    @wallstreetcappers

      Interesting........likewise, I've not heard from any libs here about all of Biden's lies & what a disgusting pig he is. I guess that gate swings both ways.

     What I do know is that over the L4 years everything just costs more. My health insurance premiums have gone up 400% since Biden took office. Homeowners, auto have gone up too. I've gotten no tax break, nor has any of my debt been forgiven like some people. There's literally nothing I can point to & say "that is/was better under Biden".

Hunter Biden's position with Burisma was NOT protected; he, and Birisma were as likely to get investigated as any other type or form of corruption. Therefore, the Biden (Obama) position on withholding aid was a matter of U.S. foreign policy.  Trump could not have made himself clearer on HIS desires if he hit the entire Ukrainian government over the head with a truncheon. It was obvious HE wanted political dirt on a political opponent.   THAT is not U.S. foreign policy in action. It is PERSONAL INTEREST POLITICS at its sleaziest. Using desperately needed military assistance funds to extort (blackmail) a friendly foreign government for PERSONAL POLITICAL GAIN is the metric of measure here. Where does Trump currently stand in the history of lies to the American people, much less the Congress? is he not already the all-time champion, in only three years, when so many others would have to stand up for 8, or in the case of F.D.R., 13 years? You got your beloved tax cut Trumpers, stick your heads back in the sand.

    Shokin had seized some of Burisma CEO'S property before being fired. The CEO lived in exile outside the country. After Shokin was fired and a new prosecutor was hired all charges against Burisma CEO dropped, his property returned and he moved back to Ukraine.

    Funny how the outcomes always defy the naratives. an_light

    Funny how the outcomes always defy the naratives. an_light

    That's not a true statement. I, personally have said numerous times here that I saw less taxes after Trump's cuts. And I didn't vote for Trump in 2016.

    Income data published by the IRS clearly show that on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans' tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent, as so many Democrats have argued.
