Indeed justice department has appointed a special counsel to oversee Mar-a-lago stolen documents case and continuation of January 6 probe of capital attack.  Unlike congressional investigations, justice department operates independently and cannot be stopped by change in government.  No one is above the law even if Trump tries to run for political office.

The 11th circuit has ruled that Judge Aileen Cannon's order appointing a special master and blocking the gov from using classified docs seized from Mar-a-Lago in their investigations was incorrect. The order has been vacated with instructions to dismiss the entire case.

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) on Wednesday endorsed former
President Donald Trump’s call to terminate the Constitution
over false claims the 2020 election was fraudulent
in a tweet that Gosar later deleted amid massive backlash.

“I support and agree with the former president,”
the far-right lawmaker wrote, sharing a screengrab
of Trump’s widely condemned Truth Social post.
“Unprecedented fraud requires unprecedented cure.”

The tweet was sent from Gosar’s official congressional account.

Gosar was censured and stripped of his House committee
assignments last year after he posted a video depicting
violence against Democrats.

Kevin McCarthy has vowed to reinstate the racist Gosar.

for failing to secure the release of former Marine Paul Whelan
in Thursday's prisoner swap with Russia, even though Trump

Note that Whelan was taken political hostage in December 2018, under Donald Trump's watch!! No doubt the Russians felt emboldened by Trump's humiliating "Helsinki sellout" just 5 months earlier.
       If Trump thinks it's so easy to get him released, as he stated above, then why didn't Trump secure Whelan's release in the 2+ years he had in office before Biden???   WTF???
