Republicans will win the house and they will go after Biden.   Without valid cause of course, but they will anyway in a pure act of petty retaliation for impeaching a criminal.

The House flips over in almost every first midterm of a new president in the modern era of US politics.

It's not about issues.   It never is.   It's just a thing that happens to both parties when they are in power for the first time with a new president. This has been pointed out on this forum multiple times.  There is no drama.  It is a fully anticipated "kneejerk" result (in the House for sure and usually the Senate too)  and will be again for the next president, and the one after that, and the one after that

In a gambling forum that tried and true trend is a good thing to know because there may be some very excellent betting opportunities to capitalize on for those who have sportsbooks (or access to Nevada casinos) which offer a bet on "who forms the House majority: D or R"

My books don't offer this one yet and may not.  But I'm still hoping to find an online book that is and has a high limit.  But failing that I'm travelling to Vegas to make some money on it.

I will say this... we need some better candidates. 

Most countries elect entire federal government at the same time.  Oddly, US has midterm elections that risk weakening government.  Election integrity project rates US electoral system as the worst among western democracies.  Problem is US politicians pursue victory above all else which runs counter to democratic values and crippling government ability to solve problems.

True.   And sad.

Our system hasn't changed.  Theoretically we could have always slipped into deep chaos threatening the very fabric of our Democratic system in previous years and decades.  But we didn't even come close. 

What's different now is the "extremely divisive political climate" - and more specifically - MAGA republican extremism being the root cause of it.

Unlike Trump, Biden has no adultery issue, criminal investigation or real scandal by historical standards in his first two years of office.  Just class and competence typical of past administrations.  If republicans control congress, expect endless and politically weaponized investigations despite previous investigations finding nothing serious.  For examples, Hunter Biden and sham audit by cyber ninjas seeking evidences to support conspiracy theories.  Unlike Mueller, Durham investigation of Russian interference in election lead to no convictions or guilty pleas.  If there is no dirt, vindictive Trump would just lie to manufacture some dirt.

Yes that is the key problem this century with our politics.   Not power to be in office and effect positive improvements for the American public.  Nope.  Power so the politicians can enrich themselves and their cronies.  That's it.   And they lie and make false promises to that aim.  The Democrats most certainly do this!  But the republiCONS are hands down the absolute WORST by far, since they almost never have any real commitment to help Americans, only themselves.

I believe his fantasy reputation is at stake.   He's clearly hiding something since he LIED to America insisting he would release his returns if he won the 2016 election.  Now he has successfully induced the Supreme Court to put a hold on a lower court ruling that his returns must be released.  

Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, and even Mitch McConnell and Mike Pence all released their returns.

Trump refuses.

If he has nothing to hide he wouldn't be running to SCOTUS for protection.  This much is obvious.

The POS lost a bid to delay the appointment of a watchdog at his real estate company, which is facing a civil fraud lawsuit by New York attorney general Letitia James.

LOSER AGAIN!

The POS is absolutely melting down on his flailing social media platform while spending most of the day attacking DeSantis.

Meanwhile, what's left of the Republican party is trying to distance themselves from the old man yelling at the clouds. 

Poor Tiffany…her wedding on Saturday will be all about “angry Daddy.”

The POS says that when he was POTUS, he sent the FBI and federal prosecutors to Broward County to ensure a win for Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott.

The POS should stand on stage with Dr. Oz, Blake Masters, Doug Mastriano, Kari Lake, and every other midterm loser today and announce he is running for President, and this is his cabinet.

Pompeo is also going to throw his hat into the GOP mudslinger he-haw election in 2024. Can't wait to hear him go after the POS while DeSantis stands by giggling like a little choir boy getting his first hardon.

Many in the GOP are finished with the POS. However, the POS is not done with them.

And therein lies the rub.

If given the opportunity again, he would burn down the country to save his own ass. 

trump's petulant/vindictive behavior suggests he would burn the country down regardless whether it saves his ass or not.

The only member of Congress to attend the farcical announcement was Madison Cawthorn who lost his primary & will soon be out of work.
