Going into last season, Trump, always looking for something to distract from real issues, started tweeting about players kneeling. So in response, players knelt. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

Yes, you're right. Omarosa, the woman, should not be top story news. Just like Stormy Daniels before her and Karen McDougal before her. Media loves the sensational and the left wing media has a vested interest in dragging Trump through the mud just like the right wing media has a vested interest in bolstering him. And both are wrong. With that said, if there is a possibility that a sitting president openly used racial slurs, and is possibly recorded doing so, then that is news worthy. And it won't go away by bringing up like 5 dudes, out of a few thousand, kneeling for the anthem.

I'm not overly sensative when it comes to race. As I said earlier in this thread, I believe every president in the history of the country has said the n-word. In fact, I used the first part of this thread to joke about doing blow with Trump and getting pissed on by Ivanka but don't for a minute let that make you think I take all of this lightly. It's not his use of the word, it's how it adds one more brush stroke in the picture that is forming of Donald J. Trump. A man who holds not only minorities, but women, and frankly anybody poor, in contempt. And by poor, I mean anyone not worth atleast in the high 8 figures.

I never attacked any other president's intelligence. I simply stated that there hasn't been a big deal made of seeing any other president's transcripts including Trump who, and I stand by this, can barely put a sentence together. Honestly, I think it has to do more with age than lack of intelligence but he doesn't come off as a smart man. And there has been enough said over the years, long before he became president, backing up this assertion.

None of this is here nor there though. The point of my post wasn't to attack Trump's intelligence but to ponder why is it that Obama, who got his JD from Harvard, has to prove something.

As far as H.W. Bush and Carter go, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt on Bush. Carter, on the other hand, was born in the 1920's....in Georgia. Just sayin'...

i didn’t say u attacked another presidents intelligence.  What I said is that the press has always stereotyped the Republican presidents as being idiots.  They took it so far during Bush 2 that it did become an issue and his transcripts were released.  And at some point Gores and Kerry’s came out and it turned out they weren’t as smart as the media portrayed.   This is the reason it then became an issue w Obama.   Just like Gore and Kerry, the media portrayed Obama as a professorial genius so the right wingers asked for proof.  To suggest he was singled out is not supportable.

On Trump, at age 70+ try putting in a full day as President, watching the clown news shows on tv, tweeting up a storm and then getting barely 4 hrs of sleep and I’m guessing most people will be making idiotic statements like there being 52 states, etc.
