Former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang still leads, but his odds have dropped dramatically. Over the past two weeks, Yang has been a -500 money line choice, dropped to -303 last week and now as of today is now a +100 favorite with a 50% probability to win according to European bookmaker Betfair.
Second-choice and vastly improving Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams has made this a tight race, with his odds improving to +125 (44.4% to win). Former Sanitation Department Commissioner Kathryn Garcia has moved into the third spot (+400, 20% to win), Maya Wiley is at +1200 (7.7% to win) and Ray McGuire rounds out the top five (+1400, 6.7% to win.).
New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer, who was steady in third for the past month or so, saw his odds shift dramatically, from +1000 a week ago to +1600 (5.9%)
