We give these suicidals (as you put it),the means and opportunity to kill as many people as they want. Why they want to do it (going down in infamy),or just cause their f*cked up in the head is really not that important in the long run,our gun laws provide the opportunity for them to do it,it shouldnt be that way.

@I_Need_A_Detox Your own words actually prove the very point being made by "progressives" and "liberals", so Trump the dope congrats someone for a sharp shot...that is true and likely saved lives, but how many shots did it take to stop the person? Did that Wilson guy need 200-300 shots to stop the other guy or was it enough to have a much lower quantity? You are playing into the hands of the NRA when you fear other people and their guns to rationalize the need for weapons that can kill hundreds in seconds, that is what the NRA wants you to do, to blindly and generally accept all and any guns as protection under the 2nd and to try and stop ANY gun is a strike against the 2nd. I dont think you hear many people on this forum, out in society saying that zero guns for the right wing gun fan is what the objective is and nothing else is acceptable. Most people who are in support of gun control want limits on magazines, capacity, destructive types of ammunition etc, not the full elimination of any and all guns.
BINGO!

In a town near us, police are offering $150 for any gun turned in with no questions asked. I kind of wonder about "no questions asked" especially if they learn it was stolen.
The gift cards are from their Law Enforcement Trust Fund that gets forfeited money from arrests.
Anything that gets guns off the streets is a good idea IMO.

At the NRA convention today, Brevard (FL) Sheriff Wayne Ivey says that instead of arming teachers, schools should have custodians, maintenance staff, and librarians carrying firearms on campus.
Sounds like Archie Bunker's idea to "arm all passengers to stop hijackings."

You’re at the playground with your kids. You and all the other parents are watching the youngsters play. One kid picks up a stick and starts beating the other kids.
Democrat's solution: Take the stick away from the kid.
Republican's solution: Give all the kids a stick.

Ironically, Texas attorney general Ken Paxton suggests a female elementary teacher armed with a handgun to counter this kind of shooter while 19 cops hold up for 45 minutes in school hallway and do nothing? Hello, reckless.
Sadly, within a week we had another mass shooting this time occurs at Tulsa hospital. Shooter had one semiautomatic handgun and rifle. Now what? Will Texas attorney general Ken Paxton suggest doctors and nurses be armed with a semiautomatic rifle?
