Liberals across the country went crazy after Trump called out violence “on many sides” instead of just singling out the KKK and white supremacy groups.

The irony in this, of course, is that they did NOT demand that Obama do the same when a BLM supporter targeted and killed 5 white police officers last summer in Dallas.

If you remember, black nationalist Micah Xavier Johnson used his sniper rifle to shoot and killed five Dallas police officers in July of 2016. President Obama’s responses to the sequence of events was widely praised by the press.

Responding to the outrage over Sterling and Castile, President Obama said their deaths were “not isolated incidents” but were “symptomatic” of a criminal justice system plagued by “racial disparities.” That evening, during a Black Lives Matter rally, Johnson opened fire on Dallas police officers, shooting a dozen officers, five of whom died from their wounds. Before the police were forced to shoot him dead, he told them that he was deliberately targeting “white people, especially white officers” and that the Black Lives Matter movement had inspired his actions.

“The suspect said he was upset about Black Lives Matter; he said he was upset about the recent police shootings. The suspect said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers,” Dallas Police Chief David Brown told reporters

In his initial response, Obama, like Trump, did not single out black nationalists or the movement associated with the heinous act. Instead, Obama said that he was “horrified” by the “vicious, calculated and despicable attack on law enforcement.”

“There is no possible justification for these kinds of attacks or any violence against law enforcement,” said Obama. “Anyone involved in the senseless murders will be held fully accountable. Justice will be done.”

Obama also used the moment as an opportunity to push for more gun control. “Today is a wrenching reminder of the sacrifices they make for us,” Obama said of police officers. “We also know when people are armed with powerful weapons, unfortunately, it makes attacks like these more deadly and more tragic.”

When Obama was given more time to address the Dallas massacre at the funeral of the five officers, he not only did not condemn black nationalists or radical Black Lives Matter activists, he used the platform as a way to double down on his gun control agenda, reiterate his claim that systemic racism plagues the criminal justice system, and push for more public investment in minority communities and schools. The media largely fawned over the “Lincolnesque” speech

So, why is the media treating these SAME situations so differently?

Oh, that’s right. It’s because they will opposes every SINGLE thing that Trump does or says. They don’t care if he makes sense or not, they are robotically programmed to fight him on EVERYTHING.

Just make sure to remember this double standard the next time a liberal tries to call President Trump “racist”.

One, Trump said there were "fine people" among the alt right protesters. But Trump clarifies , which conveniently isn't reported in the CNN article, that he is not referring to the white supremacists but to the average Joe who is there protesting the removal of Confederate statues which many Southerners still have pride in. No less an alt right rag that the NPR says that the rally started as a protest against the current movement to remove all Confederate memorials and such from public places , and Trump makes it clear more than once that these folks peacefully protesting this removal of historical items are the ones he is referring to as "fine folks".

Two, Trump says there was violence on both sides. I'm going to admit here that I haven't sat in front of a TV or computer watching videos of this melee. What little bit I saw in passing I saw white guys on both sides rolling around punching and kicking each other. Mostly overweight ones at that. But I saw a headline that claimed that even the ACLU admitted that the left got violent, and I haven't seen much countering Trumps claim that the left was violent as well. So where is Trump wrong here? If the left was as violent in protest against the alt right, why is it wrong to say so? Are the those from the left who will admit that violence is OK as long as it is directed at the far right, even if the far right is behaving peacefully or at least non violently? Is violence against peaceful protest OK if you don't like the beliefs of the peaceful protesters? Again, what is wrong with Trump's statement if both sides were indeed violent?

The dallas asassinations were repeatedly framed as a 'peaceful protest" all lib networks framed it as such. The same networks repeatedly referred to trump rallies as "marred by violence" even after it was revealed that dems paid protesters to show up and cause trouble.

You can't make this stuff up.

Find one quoted news source that referred to police assasinations as "peaceful protest". Are we getting to the point of making sh*t up?

5 white officers are killed by a black supremacist.  Obama goes to their funeral and talks about systemic racism against African Americans.   What a POS.  And CNN compared speech to Lincoln.  No media bias, right?

The media is biased. This isn't new. And Obama could've given a more sincere speech. How does that change the nsrrative today? How long will people play this, "but Obama" "but Hillary" game. Neither of them are President. There's nothing worse than when people deflect. The level of surreptitious defense Neo-Nazis and Clan members is a joke. Everything is "but BLM" "but Obama" "peaceful protest of the removal of a statue". What does walking through the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia chanting "person will not replace us..." have to do with Robert E. Lee? I know quite a bit about Robert Edward Lee so i'll answer that for you. NOTHING! If you wanna be a racist, be a racist. It's your right but atleast have the balls to own it.

This can't be news to you guys a 3 sec google search turned up thousands of hits for peaceful dallas protest, in which five cops were asassinated. Its 100% fact. The banners across the bottom of the screen had the words "peaceful protest". What other evidence do you need?

He said the march was a peaceful protest. Not the killings. A whack job lone gun man is a whack job lone gun man. It wasn't a conspiracy. Now, granted, protest are almost never peaceful, especially Liberal protest, but you can't just make stuff up like you've been doing. It gives you zero credibility. I know Scal will jump up my anus for saying this but you're better than that bro.

Teeth, you're trying to argue semantics, which is what people do when they are wrong.
Side note: Semantics and Surreptitious are two additional words for lovesthedough to look up. You're gonna be a regular Noah Webster Jr. by the end of this week.

Stu you and scal both called me out for fake news, news that the liberal media framed the night of the asassanations as a "peaceful protest". Now i included the reference to trumps rallies being marred by violence. Where is the fake news that i buy hook line and sinker. These events did occur , they happened. It's not fake news. The protest was framed as peaceful even though five cops were shot.

I could post a thousand links from cnn npr all the usual subjects and there is one common thread in every link, the word "peaceful'.

It is not fake news it is reality.

Now as far as me being a racist, you are both wrong on that account.

Teeth, what you're doing is the equivalent of blaming the organizers of the Boston Marathon for the terroist attacks. That was a "peaceful race" until it wasn't. Your arguments are weakening the OP's point, which is actually valid. I think dough is a racist idiot but I agree with this thread. What Obama did is comparable to what Trump did. Liberals won't say it but I will. The thing is Obama isn't our President though. We need to focus on today and not 2016. We need to stop deflecting.

The protest was peaceful until a crazed, lone gunman attacked police officers. Not one source said the gunman killing police officers was an act of peaceful protest, as you originally stated. They said it occured at what was at first a peaceful protest.

And when have I ever called to a racist, teeth? When have I ever even alluded to you being a racist? I think you're twisting stories to try and bolster a point that doesn't need bolstering. Like I said, I agree with the OP.

    What is a Black Supremacist?

Are we now claiming that BLM are, like the group, trying to establish the supremacy of their race over others?

Or are they seeking to end decades of oppression and inequality?

There is a marked difference, no?

Psst. Hockey teeth if you think "the informed left" watches CNN you are a fool.

The same can't be said of Fox unfortunately and the Right where their spin is regurgitated day and night.

There are innumerable independent left wing websites without the Don Lemon's of the world.

Stop acting like an idiot. You are being laughed at.
