@Daddy_Freddie
Another Repub that needs things explained to him.
John Wayne worked in the creative arts....maybe he was conservative in his politics, and yes Fubah expresses views one might consider liberal...so what?
It's ART!!!!
Why is it necessary to agree politically to enjoy someone's art.
Yes, I'm a liberal....I couldn't disagree more with Ted Nugent politically, but Stranglehold live absolutely ROCKS! I'm not even a big fan of his music...I really only like Stranglehold.
As an adult, I'm able to have both thoughts: Ted's political views are out of touch imo....HOWEVER, I can also give respect to a song that ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!
I'm disgusted by what Kevin Spacey did, but I love his work in American Beauty and L.A. Confidential.
I disagree with Jon Voigt politically...but, he's a badass actor.
Elton John is one of my all-time favorite artists....he's liberal, are there not millions of conservatives who enjoy his music?
I like Charlton Heston movies, and thought that he was waaaaay out there on guns.
And btw...just to have full disclosure, I enjoy much of Michael Moore's work, but I thought he was mean to Charlton Heston, even while I thought Charlton hurt our country with his lax views on guns.
The whole point is it's PERFECTLY understandable that someone with liberal views can admire John Wayne.
I also think it illustrates a big problem with Repubs...There were times when Bob Dole and Ted Kennedy were friends and went to dinner. That's but one example of bi-partisan friendship...they disagreed on how to get things done, but those types of relationships led to getting things done for the American people.
The Repubs think: there's two sides and you're on one or the other. If you're a Democrat with a good idea, I won't work with you EVEN if it's a REALLY good idea!
That thought is the same as: How could a liberal like John Wayne.
I guess what I'm saying is: Mitch McConnell should start listening to Elton John again!
