Presidents are sometimes forced to deal with crises, wars, terrorist attacks, recessions, pandemics. That does not mean that during those times, their unemployment records don't count anymore. Nice effort though.

 Dude, you're the one trying to compare the current UI % to 2020 because you want Biden to appear to look better then Trump. You kept asking me to state UI % when Trump left office because it was over 14% and much higher then the current rates. That is not the issue because covid caused the UI% to skyrocket. With everything opened back up to 100% today, why hasn't Biden gotten UI % back to 2019 levels?! That is the real underlying issue and question that needs to be answered if the US is going to get back on track.

I'm not trying to make look Biden better either. Far too early in his presidency to judge him on anything, other than getting people vaccinated. COVID caused unemployment to skyrocket under Trump, it still counts, despite what you think. You think everything is just going to go back to normal as soon as businesses open backup? You really don't have any idea how job loss or economies operate do you? It's not some magical, immediate effect that takes place. It's generally a gradual recovery.

knocked out of jobs in this deadly pandemic, economists say.
        "The unemployment numbers leave out so much,”

     “Right now, for a host of reasons, the unemployment number is just not 
        capturing all the people that are feeling the coronavirus shock.”

Prior to the pandemic the official gov't unemployment stats were 3.5%
for a total of 5.7 million out of work.
At the end of January 2021, those numbers were 6.3% and 10.1 million respectively.

Thus, officially there were 4.4 million MORE out of work than pre-pandemic,
although as noted in Washington Post article, this number is seriously flawed
and vastly UNDERestimated.

It took YEARS to fully recover from the last financial disaster the republicans left (2009)
and this one - under the failed trump regime - is EVEN WORSE. 

Compounding the problem for America, are the spiteful republicans in the Senate,
who have vowed to block all measures the Biden admin proposes to help America.

Of course Deezy as you know, and I know, as well as

trump was handed a solid economy from the Obama/Biden admin
with only 4.7% unemployment, well below the mean avg of the last 100 years!

Under trump it eventually fell further to 3.5% for a brief period.
It took three years to improve just +1.2 percentage points.

Remember those numbers: under trump it moved down from 4.7% to 3.5%

How did the housing market collapse actually start? Did some president declare that everyone should be able to own a home and that the banks should lend to anyone that wanted a home by loosening borrowing requirements?! No down payments, stated income and having banks take on more risk to boost home ownership?

 Well, he thought wrong. I guess Obama thought Clinton would buck a trend that hasn't broken since the 30s-40s. Why did Obama run his campaign on "free" health care? Because people hear "free health care" and assume it will be free. Just like people from the US that claim our health care is shit because Canada and the UK have "free" health care.
