In short, most economists would credit the "Federal Reserve" for its ZIRP policy that benefited both stock and economy. Simple question,... what did Obama do, what bill did he help sign, that helped the economy ? Simple Question...
- Little evidence that Trump's tax cuts and deregulation have meaningfully improve economy? No question they have helped out... they just haven't helped out as much,... due to the 1st point I made above.

Running economy on debt is like someone living the high life by overusing credit cards. The great Trump economy is an illusion financed by debt.

His administration ended the great recession. $787 billion stimulus package lead to the longest economic expansion in US history. American recovery and reinvestment act pumped $242 billion in US economy. His federal reserve maintained low interest rates for the longest period in centuries. His bailout of auto industry saved 3 million jobs. According to the balance, Obama is the third best job creating president in US history. Unemployment rate declined from 10% high to 4%. Under Trump, unemployment rate dropped to 3.6%. So Obama has a more significant impact on US economy.

He claims other countries would pay for tariffs but instead American businesses and consumers pay. Almost $1000 per average household according to US chamber of commerce. So far, US would be better off if Trump didn't start stupid trade wars.
Trump tends to announce deals that turn into non-deals. For example, denuclearization of north Korea. Whether latest US-China ceasefire last remains to be seen as major issues are still unresolved, Less optimistic State department warns trade war could be resumed if China breaks promises. Whereas China won't guarantee purchases unless conditions are favorable. US is supposed to rollback tariffs while China increases purchases which it would have done anyway without a trade war.
Also China should improve protection of intellectual properties which chineses are already doing in recent years. Survey of companies by US-China business council reveals protecting intellectual property ranks 6th on a list of pressing concerns. No doubt Trump tries to spin some small concessions as a big victory. But actual results make everyone poorer.

Was watching football & reading the paper. Yea, I still like the feel of the paper.
I saw an article in the Sun Sentinel by AP called "Tiny Clues Help Solve Child Sex Cases." It's about ICE & a small department consisting of 3 Analysts & ! Agent. They investigated 4,224 cases resulting in 3,771 arrests so far this year. That 89%. They also identified 1,066 victims. They do tremendous work.
People doing this work better have some mental medical insurance.

Let's all be clear here... Trump does engage in a good amount of
"bloviating" about "the best "x" in history."" I don't agree with him when he speaks in these terms. All he needs to do is speak in the truth and say his policies have helped to make the American people's taxes "rates" lower.... and enjoy greater wage increases. These are both facts that can't be disputed ... Wage increases are finally creeping closer to 3%, which will help fuel a greater amount of consumer spending. We're gonna here soon that this is going to be one of the best Christmases ever when it comes to consumer spending ... People are confident, and are willing to spend lots of money on their Christmas Shopping when they are confident about their jobs..

Let's assume Ag purchases are net neutral... Trump still has tariffs applied to China, while they work on a Phase 2 or 3 to work on the Real meat & potatoes of the trade deal (i.e. forced technology transfer, IP protections, putting a stop to state subsidies) .
For all the joking and ridicule we hear of Trump... It is China that has got to be thinking they got "played" at this point. They must now change their "cheating ways" to get these remaining tariffs eliminated...

However Trump may try to spin this, he has lost the trade war with China that has cost Americans billions of dollars according to nobel economist Klugman. China basically ended up where it started. Buying agricultural products and selling manufactured goods to US. Unclear if Trump won anything in trade war according to Peterson institute of international economics. According to Council of foreign relations, alot of pain for very little gain. Trump has made US weak, neither trusted by allies, nor feared by enemies.

Fake Trump supporter Colby Covington lost his UFC title shot this weekend to Kamaru Usman and suffered a broken jaw during the fight. Of course the internet came through immediately with "Make My Jaw Great Again" hat memes for Colby who ran out of the octagon right after the fight to find his safe space. Covington then followed in the footsteps of his hero Donald Trump and took to Twitter complaining about the referee about 'fake eye poke' and 'fake stoppage'. The Trump model of 'never lose clean' is in full effect
Covington embraced the 'MAGA' life mostly in part to be noticed and draw negative attention to himself to become more famous. Friends and training partners say he has little to no interest or knowledge in politics, but that didn't stop him from getting a visit to the White House and the support of the Trump sons

Judge Oetken has declined to revoke Parnas's bail, saying the info he provided about his assets/income "might have violated the spirit" of the disclosure requirements, "but I don't know that it rises to the level of intentional misstatements warranting the revocation of bail." Spirit of the law? I think he chose to deceive & got caught. Lev is no virgin.

Sad to see that our top Ukrainian diplomat William Taylor will retire again. He came back to serve out country at the request of Pompeo.
We need more people like him in government.
BTW..Rick Gates gets a 45 day prison term, 3 years of probation & a fine. He must have sung beautifully for the Feds.
