This is from the President of the Association of Flight Attendants, Sarah Nelson. Nelson went on to name the various workers we take for granted such as airline ground workers, airline caterers, wheelchair attendants and others.
I hope Congress was listening closely because our country is watching to make sure the common worker is helped and not the management of the airlines.
According to the Washington Post, Fox Business anchor Trish Regan is likely out of her job after a partisan tirade accusing Democrats of engineering a coronavirus overreaction to topple President Donald Trump.
“Regan’s on-air speculation at the start of last week that coronavirus was merely another impeachment gambit for Democrats drew widespread pushback,” reported Paul Farhi and Sarah Ellison. “Clearly the mood was changing at Fox by the time the network announced late Friday that her discussion-and-commentary program on Fox Business would leave the air indefinitely, to be replaced by newscasts. Fox insiders said Regan is unlikely to return.”
The report continued: “But they added that Regan’s removal from air showed that only some hosts — those with the biggest ratings — are protected at Fox News. ‘If you put Trish’s comments up against Laura [Ingraham’s], you can’t honestly tell me that Trish is off the air’ because of her coronavirus commentary, said a former Fox News executive who spoke on the condition of anonymity to speak frankly about his past employer.”
The ouster, according to the report, is part of a sea change in attitude towards the threat of coronavirus at the network, which just days ago had Ingraham and Sean Hannity decrying the “panic-pushers” triggering “mass hysteria.” Several hosts have downplayed the mortality rate of the virus, and even when not doing that, some guests on the network have been spreading other misinformation, like Liberty University president Jerry Falwell’s baseless claim on Friday the virus was a Chinese bio-weapon.
Now, hosts who once ridiculed the virus, like Hannity, are instead acknowledging it as a “crisis” while simultaneously lauding Trump’s response as “a bold, new precedent.”

Trump's need to lie now about his statements from a few days ago matters more than even his original mistakes because it shows he can never be trusted, when trust is the most important thing in the world during a crisis.
He's trying to rewrite history but when he leaves in November, his real problems will just begin. His whole corrupt life and that of his family will be exposed. One of the things Trump hates the most is to be humiliated and that will happen for the whole world to see.
All of his complicit partners will release the books they are currently writing behind his back to make money off the sorriest president in our history.
It's interesting to see the different industries with their hands extended to grab "bailout" money from our government. Most of this is offensive and I have a real problem with the hotel industry.
I've heard that occupancy is down to about 15% but hey, join the crowd. Small businesses, restaurants, movie theaters, bars, barbers/hair salons etc are experiencing similar losses. But what makes hotels think they are so special?
Instead they should be offering their properties & associated space to the government for use to help with the overflow of sick people we are anticipating. But they have chosen to ask for taxpayer money when they are not willing to help the same taxpayers.

The last two cruise ships in the Atlantic will dock in South Florida this Friday. Workers will be immediately furloughed & we are talking about 1,500 to 2,000 people. These are people with a certain skill set in the service/hospitality industry which is getting hit extremely hard right now.
Event planners & associated business partners (florists, caterers, DJ's/Bands & those who work the events) are getting clobbered financially as well.
Lyft/Uber drivers are being very careful/selective who they will service especially the elderly who need transportation to doctor appointments.
You may want to check to see if you can provide them a ride.
The Restaurant Association is the latest industry asking for a bailout. They have requested 145 billion in support of the 380,000 restaurants they represent.
I wasn't a math major but I do cap horses & this comes out to $381,578.95 per restaurant if distributed (which it wouldn't) equally.
You know, you just know that the little pizza joint or cafe or burger place will not get anywhere near this figure. Most will go to the largest companies.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) has been quoted as saying he's "worried about incentivizing people not to show up for work" regarding the idea to help Americans with a check.
