No president is all powerful especially against a disease. I get that. However, Trump's speech last night was a mess causing the whole day being spent making corrections and clarifications regarding his message.  He continued today lying to the country. His comments were just not inaccurate they were lies.

He said co-pays would be waived for testing and treatment. Great! But the truth is co-pays for testing will be waived but not treatment if you test positive and that is where the real expense comes into play especially if you don't have healthcare or have an exorbitant deductible. His referring to the virus as "foreign" is a feeble attempt to cast blame elsewhere. We get it. It didn't originate here but now that it's here what the fark are you doing about it. Don't have Kellyanne and Kudlow tells us it's contained; they have less credibility than you! 

Other than washing your hands, Trump provided no guidance. Closing the borders when the virus is already propagating in our country doesn't fool anyone. Cutting payroll taxes doesn't help a public health crisis & would be so minuscule it wouldn't help the majority of Americans. The travel ban reeks of panic and the market acted accordingly today. 

I know he didn't create the virus but he sure has created the mess we have on our hands now. His blame game will continue as well as his incompetency in handling the crisis.

There was a Brazilian official who visited Mar A Lago last weekend & tested positive for the virus.

South Florida can be a very small community where information gets exchanged quickly. Apparently, the Mar A Lago resort has not been cleansed since the news about the positive test. Since then 2 events have been canceled but a 700 people charity event will go on as scheduled. It's an Animal Rescue & Shelter party which sounds like a great cause. Guess who the chairwomen of the event are......

Fact checker politifact rated false Trump's claim that "anyone that wants a coronavirus test can get tested."  Actually, many are turned away.  US lags behind every developed country in testing.  For example, South Korea tested over 180,000 people while US tested over 7,000 in March.  Testing is critical in stopping an outbreak.  When people test positive, they can be put in isolation so they don't spread disease further.  Then their contacts can be identified and put into quarantine too.  Trump's travel bans do little when coronavirus is already widespread in the US and stopping local transmission is more effective.  Besides, a wall cannot be expected to stop cruise ships and airplanes.

Lacking credibility, Trump has failed to calm coronavirus fears.  Instead stock markets recently suffer worst day in 30 years.  Government blunders have handicapped response to pandemic.  In 2018, he dismantled US pandemic response team created by Obama.  His budgets cut spending on medicaid to states .  His sabotage of obamacare take away healthcare insurance from millions of Americans.  Without paid sick leave for all employees, many continue to go to work and spread disease.  If consumer spending declines significantly, economists warn risk of recession may be in the horizon.

Trump administration has a bad habit of appointing horrible people to government.  Betsy Devos has no experience in public education but she is the current secretary of education.  Republicans join democrats in congress to overturn Devos rewrite of Obama's borrower defense rule which allows debt relief for students victimized by colleges that violate laws.  Department of education staff recommend that defrauded students receive federal loan forgiveness.  However Devos ignores staff advice  and allows collection efforts against thousands of students and veterans.  Furthermore, Devos made it harder to prosecute campus sex criminals, blatantly disregard court orders to stop debt collection and used millions of taxpayers money for her personal protection even though her brother owns a security company.

That's right third. 

Her brother Erik Prince is a real piece of work & is accused of lying to Congress.

So Trump just declared a national emergency. No one pointed a gun to his head and said it’s a Democratic hoax. This whole virus is for reals and Italy has 1200 deaths and counting. Trump has been exposed!!

Just learned the charity event was cancelled.

But they haven't cleansed Mar A Lago or stopped members from visiting the resort.

Yeah, Mr. Donald J Trump takes absolutely no responsibility for miscues, BUT he definitely takes credit when stock market goes up. 

Trump is the weakest defender of postnatal children of any US president in modern history according to Union of concerned scientists.  Corporations (not children) matter more to him.  Weakening environmental, health and safety regulations expose children to more risks.  Polluted air or water, unsafe products and contaminated food threaten all Americans but especially children since their exposures are more pronounced.  For example, millions of children live near areas where farmers apply dangerous pesticides to their fields.   Ignoring science, his failure to fight manmade climate change potentially condemn children to the worst health and economic consequences of global warming.   Budget cuts to food stamps harm school lunch programs for poor children.  According to American civil liberty union, immigrant children are treated as national security threats and locked up in cages at detention facilities (concentration camps).  Children are allowed to suffer assaults, abuses, overcrowding, denial of medical care, clean water and food.  Despite court orders to reunite families, many traumatized children remain separated.

The TSA is now allowing 12 oz bottles of hand sanitiizer in your carry on bags.

Which makes me think the previous 3 oz bottle limit wasn't based on science or safety.

While the House worked with Mnuchin to come with a bill to help Americans affected by the virus, Moscow Mitch decided to attend an event in Kentucky with Justice Kavanaugh rather than stay in Washington to get this bill approved in the Senate.

Misguided Trump administration is damaging US economy by imposing travel bans.  Potentially thousands of job losses and billions in financial losses for businesses.  Travel bans are ineffective in stopping the spread of infection according to experts from World health organization, Harvard, National academy of sciences, University of Toronto, York University and John Hopkins center for health security.   History shows travel bans can only temporarily delay the inevitable.  For examples, HIv/AIDS, influenza, bird flu, swine flu and SARS.  Travel bans fail because they are usually applied too late and infected people eventually find alternate ways to travel.  Under public pressure, governments resort to travel bans to show something is being done instead of nothing despite lack of scientific evidences proving travel bans work to contain outbreaks. 

Since coronavirus is already widespread in the US, travel bans don't really make much difference.  US has more infected people than some of the countries that are banned.  The problem is not anymore about trying to reduce virus import.  It's about managing local community transmissions by encouraging handwashing and social distancing.  Governments should focus on providing adequate testing and healthcare for citizens.   But sabotage of obamacare lead to millions of uninsured Americans.  This increases the risk of sick people not being treated and further spreading disease.  Actually, travel bans can cause more harm than good.  Since pandemics necessitates cooperation between countries in sharing intelligence and medical supplies, nationalist approaches can hinder disease control.  According to National institute of infectious diseases, travel bans are irrelevant in global pandemics.

The FED just slashed interest rates to zero.

Not sure how this is going to stem the unemployment rate we'll see headed into April. Trump doesn't have many bullets left.
