Midnight1 is right.  Most economists expect a slow economic recovery with high unemployment.  Trump administration has made US economy less prepared for a recession.  Despite inheriting a strong economy from Obama, Trump's mismanagement has ended the longest economic expansion in US history.  Good governments are supposed to reduce deficits in a strong economy so that more money is available for the next recession.  Instead his unnecessary tax cuts failed to pay for themselves but increased federal deficits.  Also his deregulations haven't done much to boost jobs creation or economic growth.  His stupid trade wars cost thousands of jobs.  His budget cuts to social safety net is the opposite for what is needed for a recession.  Future historians are likely to be harsh in their assessment of Trump.

Then we get Trump tweeting that Iran has never won a war... and never lost a negotiation...

Trump wants them to come to the negotiating table.  Their very survival is as stake.  If Iran does nothing, the regime could be toppled by unrest from its citizens.   ( remember,  their economy is on shambles).  If Iran chooses to do something militarily, this really will get ugly..

Trump is not the first politician to use that phrase, noted Boot. One of the most famous people who also said it was George Wallace, the segregationist governor of Alabama who mounted a third-party bid for president.

They start a riot down there, first one of ‘em to pick up a brick gets a bullet in the brain, that’s all. And then you walk over to the next one and say, ‘All right, pick up a brick. We just want to see you pick up one of them bricks, now!’'

“But now, in Donald Trump, we have the closest thing we have ever had to having George Wallace in the White House — and Republicans are nearly unanimous in their approbation,” concluded Boot. “The president is pouring gasoline on the flames of racial division, and the Republican Party is holding the jerrycan for him. This is where the Southern Strategy has led after half a century.”
