the 2020 Republican National Convention’s Committee on Arrangements (COA) announced plans to livestream the formal nomination of President Donald J. Trump on Monday, August 24, 2020. Monday’s convention proceedings will be attended by six delegates from each state and territory, amounting to 336 delegates total, as decided by Rule 37(e).

Given the flexibility indicated by the N.C. Governor’s team upon receiving the RNC 2020 Health Protocol Plan, the COA has worked with the Congressional Press Galleries who will select a limited group of reporters to cover Monday’s formal nomination. However, given the in-person capacity limitations by the state of North Carolina due to COVID-19, the group will be small as to meet capacity and social-distancing restrictions in place.

For television broadcast, the COA is working with the major news networks and C-SPAN to provide the primary TV coverage for Monday’s event. The livestream is also available for broadcast purposes for news media entities upon request.

Reporters seem to be staking out at treasure clubs in the area in hopes.of getting photos of delegates involved with strip club activities. Interesting angle for the Atlantic magazine.

The RNC is still technically in Charlotte, NC, but apparently their will be
a rally in D.C. with an awesome list of speakers like: Ivanka trump-Kushner,
Jared Kushner, Donald trump jr, Eric trump, Melania trump, and of course
    Dr.Death himself. Yaaaayy!

Unfortunately, it looks like Steve Bannon won't be available to speak.

And with thanks to our award-deserving correspondent, Midnight1,
here's more trump associates who won't be available:

    Rick Gates..........CONVICTED
    Paul Manafort.....CONVICTED
    G. Papadopulos...CONVICTED
    Michael Flynn.....CONVICTED
    Michael Cohen....CONVICTED
    Roger Stone.......CONVICTED
    George Nader.....CONVICTED
    Jeffery Epstein......SUICIDE
    Ghislaine Maxwell...INDICTED

...plus 179,000 Americans who died largely due to trump's negligence

Just a reminder that former Florida AG Pam Bondi - who is speaking at the GOP convention on Tuesday - accepted an illegal $25,000 contribution from the Trump Foundation while her office was reportedly investigating Trump University and then chose not to pursue the case.

    Only the best..

Tomorrow night we will hear from Burgess Owens, a former Jet & Raiders player, who is running for a spot in Utah.

Oh yeah, he also helped Bannon raise money for the We Build The Wall scam.

Half of the RNC speakers are from Trump's immediate family. What? No friends? No former business partners?

Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller on Sunday told NBC's "Meet the Press" that viewers can plan on hearing Trump "speaking at various parts through each of the nights" at the GOP convention, but would not elaborate whether that meant live remarks, speeches or prerecorded video segments.

Miller said Republicans will present an "optimistic and upbeat convention this week" in contrast with what he described as last week's "massive grievance fest" of a Democratic National Convention

Donnie is going to ad lib every night.... oh boy...

This year's theme should.ahorten the program a bit.

The RNC will focus heavily on Trump's accomplishments over his first four years, lay out a second term vision for the administration, and promised "a complete change in the perception that I believe the media tries to tell of what a Trump supporter looks like, or who a Trump supporter is," Miller added

Monday, "Land of Promise": During the day, a 336 lucky delegates will convene in Charlotte, conduct the roll-call vote and formally renominate Trump and Vice President Pence for the Republican Party's presidential ticket.

Speakers on Monday include South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise, former Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley and Donald Trump .

Land of Opportunity": First lady Melania Trump is slated to speak, likely from the White House. Also speaking will be Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Eric and Tiffany Trump.

Nick Sandmann, a former student of Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky, is also expected to speak Tuesday. In January 2019, a  face-to-face with a Native American protester on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial went viral. Sandmann later sued several media organizations for their coverage of the events, which he said falsely represented what happened.

Land of Heroes": Pence will speak from Baltimore at Fort McHenry. Second lady Karen Pence will also give remarks Wednesday.

Other speakers this night include Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw and Madison Cawthorn,

Land of Greatness": Trump will deliver his acceptance speech from the White House.

Also set to deliver remarks Thursday are Housing Secretary Ben Carson, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy of California, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and Ivanka Trump.

Delegates arriving in Charlotte for the scaled down, in-person portion of the Republican National Convention aren't being greeted by the Charlotte mayor or even business leaders.

Instead, they are ushered into a purple tent outside the downtown Westin hotel. That's where they are given a coronavirus test — even though they already had to take a self-swab COVID test at home before getting on a plane.

Delegate Steve Scheffler, 72, is from West Des Moines and has been to eight other GOP conventions. He wants the 2020 convention to be safe, but he said the rules are all a bit much.

    Masks are mandatory.

"I mean I'll follow the rules because it's what we're here to do to get the president renominated — and the vice president," he said. "But I don't like where this might be going down the road. Maybe mandatory masks today, maybe mandatory vaccines tomorrow."

    But there's more.

Every delegate's badge has a fob that uses Bluetooth technology to track who they come in contact with, said the RNC's health consultant, Dr. Jeffrey Runge.

Runge said that data will only be used if someone gets infected with COVID, and it's meant to make contract tracing easier.

"It's completely private," Runge said. "The badges have a number, and we will know what numbers are in contact with other numbers. But they won't be identified with a person unless there is someone who is positive for COVID."

The GOP created a semi-bubble to satisfy the state's Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper, who has been cautious during reopening.

It slashed the number of people coming, to just 336 delegates. A traditional convention has nearly 2,500.

The RNC is requiring masks and temperature checks. And it says delegates can't even move their chairs inside meeting rooms. That rule is to make sure everyone stays six feet apart.

Chris Ager is a delegate from New Hampshire.

His state doesn't have many coronavirus cases — 7,000 to date — and he doesn't usually wear a mask.

"There's very, very low risk up there, but to me if you join an organization and you attend their event then you follow their rules," he said. "And so the rules of wearing a mask ... it's fine."

John Lassiter is a longtime Republican, who raised $38 million as the CEO of the local host committee for the traditional convention. He was shocked when the GOP announced they were leaving for Florida.

He's not attending any part of the scaled-back convention.

"No, we're not connected at all at this point to whatever goes on," he said. "We're fully focused on efforts to finish our wind down."

By winding down, Lassiter means settling broken contracts for a convention that didn't happen. The city of Charlotte has spent $17 million on security preparing for the event. Leaders are keeping their fingers crossed that the federal government pays it back.

    Don't hold your breath buddy...
