Clubdirt, Listen… I’m not saying you’re wrong but hear me out on this… Yes - it takes money - we all know it- pretty much everyone knows it…

Look around - the country is in the image of Obama. Every president before him it was the same thing. The country was a reflection of the president.

I hear people say that the country will be the same no matter if Hillary is in charge or Rand is...

If that is true - my rebuttal is - if the wealthy and powerful powers that be are in charge of everything - then why does the country reflect the personality, character, and political philosophy of the president in charge at the time?

BWS77, "I want my country back" is a subjective phrase. I can only give you my opinion on what I think that it means. It doesn’t mean a specific time in history.

I think it means that a Patriot wants the country to be given back from the Communists and Loyalists who now rule America.

I just finished reading 7 books in as little of 2 months time.

The ill-conceived, ill-executed, and ill-fated Iraq invasion and occupation  had terrible consequences not just for Iraq but for many other countries (ISIS , ISIL, ..etc)

It was the Democrats election to win after 8 years of Republican Administration

Hillary Clinton would have won 2008 Election if she had gotten the Democratic nomination.

You can blame the Republican for making it easier  for the Democrats to win.

Neocons and Tea-Party fight for the control of GOP did help Obama get re-elected

2016 does not look any better . What do the republicans have to offer ?

I am no fan on Newt Gingrich but he was spot on

money, i'm not saying things would be the same with one president over another.  i agree there are some differences.  but i think the only way to attack the significant problems is to address the money in politics issue, the buying of politicians for millions to billions, depending on the level of the politicians.  and as walsstreet and i have said before, there's so much of that in just about every race, from local politicians to national, i have no idea how that ever changes.

“We need to build a new model of Republican answers that starts with the health system we need and [then be able to say] that’s why I’m against Obamacare – in that order,” Gingrich said. “We need to get away from this, ‘I’m against Obamacare,’ and then stop – and that’s all you have to say.”

ilsp2003, the election of Obama had nothing to do with McCain or the republicans. What the election of Obama proved is that propaganda sells.

People ask how was a man like Hitler chosen to be the leader of Germany. The answer is running a slick propaganda campaign that the people will be hypnotized with.

Obama and the democrats followed the same formula as Hitler, Mao Zedong, or Fidel Castro to win over the population. The propaganda posters, the slogans, the rhetoric, Obama and the democrats used is almost identical to Hitler, Mao Zedong, or Fidel Castro propaganda.

The people naively handed over their lives to the democrats. The population had no clue that they just voted for a socialist, communist, closet muslim, america hating radical activist to be their messiah.

Clubdirt, let’s say Rand does prostitute himself out to win the national election. What’s to happen if he comes clean about it - once elected? What’s to happen if he defies all those who paid for his service? What would the powers that be do about it? The only way power remains is in secret.

If there is a secret group of men pulling the strings I find it hard to believe they would risk being exposed? Keeping the public in the dark is the only way to keep the machine going. If the public was made aware of what is allegedly going on the country would revolt just like the revolutionary war. It changes when someone takes a stand and speaks out about it.

i know marijuana and civil forfeiture are not necessarily the critical issues of the day and i always need to give the disclaimer that i haven't smoked pot in about 3 years (i even still call it pot), but they are important ideological issues to me for reasons you can probably guess.


but yeah, that's all i've got for now.  i'm not sold on him, and i'm highly skeptical but i have to give him credit for these so far.   i mean, obama started out his administration with the DOJ raiding medical marijuana dispensaries that were legal under state law.  what the hell was that about?
