Judges have legal right to block President orders that violate laws under American system of checks and balances. Immigration enforcement is the responsibility of federal government and not municipal governments. Illegals aren't protected in sanctuary cities and can still be arrested by police if they commit non-immigration crimes.

Of course they can be arrested but the cops are supposed to notify ICE if they come across an undocumented person.  The sanctuary cities want to forgo the notification.

What a fukking joke! All executive orders should just go directly to the supreme court to save everyone's time. Both the travel ban order and sanctuary city order will be upheld by the supreme court.

I predict when both orders are shown to be lawful that no one will cover it but fox news, fox business network and the blaze.

It's going to be nice to hear the honorable neil gorsuch scold little snowflake liberals for governing with their hearts and not following the constitution and the law.

it&#x27;s amazing how many people have no idea how our immigration system works.  cities, states, local governments have no affirmative duty to do anything regarding immigration, and that includes notifying the federal government of anything.  immigration obligations are 100% federal. cites/counties can help if they want or not help if they want.  when people talk about "sanctuary cities" i suspect they really don&#x27;t have much of an idea of what that means because they don&#x27;t know what the various responsibilities are and how the feds find out about illegal immigrants.  but again, if a city decides not to help implement immigration laws in any way, they have every right under the law, just you or i have no legal responsibilities to implement immigration laws.

Funny isn&#x27;t it that during trumps campaign how he detested exec orders saying that Obama used them because he couldn&#x27;t lead and stated that the country wasn&#x27;t supposed to be run by exec order. Amazing that in the first 100 days he has issued 9 more exec orders than Obama and 18 more than Bush. Shame all you right wing ballickers are to proud to admit you FU.
