Why not give freebies to everyone and no one will ever have to work again?
According to National welfare council, one myth is that welfare recipients are lazy and don't want to work. Actually, most adults on welfare are hard working tax paying citizens. In some industries, wages are so low that employees are eligible for government assistance. Besides, most benefit programs require recipients to work in order to collect. Other recipients are poor children, elderly and disabled people who legally or physically cannot work. Welfare is a temporary social safety net effective in reducing poverty which helps to boost the economy.

You can cut taxes as low as you want hell get rid of them if you want but until you cut gov't spending/workforce of gov't 30% in every area but the military it won't matter. We should get rid of the welfare state. It has proven to be a failure. The reason why black and Hispanic people are doing so bad statistically is because 50% of them are on welfare.
