maybe. i assume most networks have a clause in the contract that if the employee does something like this that the network thinks will hurt business, they can suspend or fire him................
That's assuming he is an employee...wouldn't he and the Dynasty be more like an independent contractors ?

A report has emerged that A&E had a publicist with Phil Robertson during the
interview who would have known what he was saying...and as such could have done something to stop the controversial GQ article being made public .....

the actors in duck dynasty look more like the actors in the original dynasty. next up for robertson though--> selling all of his possessions since Regular Jesus was much more clear about that than he was about the gays.

I know you knew, but I was suprised to find out that Terry Bradshaw played back-up QB at Louisiana Tech University to Phil "Roxie" Robertson?
Phil
Robertson got several offers from NFL teams looking to draft him ...
but quit college ball in his senior year because he didn't want to miss
out on duck season.... Terry Bradshaw took his spot..

It is amazing to me how hard you guys can twist a quote. I will admit that the happy remarks were worthy of the ire that they received from the happy community, and that stuff is expected. but how frigging sensitive do you have to be to construe the remarks on race in Louisiana in the 50's to hate? You have to be a special type of crybaby to take that the wrong way.
I mean have a little context of how old this guy is, and his background.
As far as the 15-16 year old remarks, it is no different than most cultures around the world, and in line with over 30 states laws. Not sure what the problem is.
It might raise a few eyebrows, but it is not illegal. In fact throughout human history 15-16 would be considered just about right. Generally a girl would be married around 13 years old, as soon as she was able to have children. 30 year olds getting married for the first time is the culturally anomaly historically speaking.
“Look,
you wait ‘til they get to be twenty years-old and the only picking
that’s going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls
when they’re about fifteen or sixteen and they’ll pick your ducks.” -

Well, it didn't take Vance McAllister long to make us all proud.
yeah, i saw that. i think if they had odds on, would the family values rightwinger who brought the duck dynasty guy to the state of the union address have some sort of affair, pedophile episode or other similar event, you would have had to pay around -250.
here's his campaign commercial. i can't tell, does he mention the word values at all? textbook.

i'm guessing if you searched youtube for every family values rightwinger's campaign commercials in the south, they would look pretty much like that. the only question then would be whether they are late caught with another woman, a prostitute or a g*y lover after they are elected.
