The Biden Presidency: Repairing America.....again

OMG, they bought advertisements and yard signs, oh the outrage! Meanwhile, democrats spent all of 2016-2020 trying to bash Trump and destroying our country in the meantime and ya'll worried about people spending 100k on ads and how it's unfair   How much tax payers money did dems waste during Trumps time not doing their jobs? How's all the policies the biden promised turning out?  All broken promises.

It's best to ignore these clowns

Government doesn't work for most people.  But it works for the benefit of the rich and powerful.  Big corporations lobby for policies that hurt consumers, workers and small businesses.  They spend billions to influence politicians to serve them instead of caring for the poor, sick, middle class, women, minorities or children.  Big money special interests push misinformation about taxes, regulations, climate change, education and other things.  They undermine popular policies to advance self serving agenda.  However government should be accountable for the people.  Not corporations and special interests.

Last week, news of record windfall profits for our big oil companies.  Their avarice is legendary.   While America is suffering inflation from pain at the pump to broad inflation from increased CoG because of those oil prices, the greedy domestic oil cos refuse to do anything about it.  If they were public cos the government could do something.  But they are all private, and we are held virtual hostages at their whim because of our dependency on oil. 

The good news is this hostage situation is slowly being resolved over years with increases and improvements to green technology and energy from renewable source, which is a future that must happen or we won't have a habitable planet left.  In time, those same oil companies will suffer.

Ahh.  This demonstrates just how excited sundance is for his big night tonight, when he once again goes out for a fun night of trick-or-treating with his other school buddies.

ABC news report Biden administration announcement of over $13 billion in assistance to help cut energy bills for millions of households this winter.  US health department is providing $4.5 billion for Low income home energy assistance program.  Plus US energy department is allocating $9 billion from Inflation reduction act for home upgrades.

Biden is right again to warn about threats to democracy from far right extremism.  MAGA republican constant lying to mislead voters, denials of fair election results reflecting the will of voters, extreme gerrymandering to rig elections, voting restrictions to make voting harder, political violence and intimidation.   Since the economy is naturally cyclical regardless of governments, the most important thing is democracy right now. 

Biden's scare tactics only show desperation. You can't flounder like he has & then try to tell Americans our democracy is at stake if they vote against his party. The American people have had enough of far left extremism.

Noted on CNN Election Coverage,

the National historic average for flipped seats in the HOUSE in the 1st midterm of a presidency is 31 seats.

Meaning the opposition gains 31 seats in the HOUSE to oppose the President.

According to projections thus far, it appears the Democrats under Biden are poised to *BEAT* that historic national average!

I still have nearly $27,000 outstanding that I bet ON THE REPUBLICANS (mostly) to take majorities in both chambers, since this is commonly what happens in the first midterm of a new president, as everyone expects, and I have noted in this forum MULTIPLE times.

But....unless the republicans not only flip the senate, but more importantly WIN BIG in the House - like 229+ seats when the dust settles - then this is a weakass opposition performance compared with the historic average and a direct reflection on weakened trumpism

Repeating -- as stated numerous times over the past TWO years here, even before Biden won the election -- a flip in the HOUSE in the first midterm of ANY new president was always anticipated.  This flip should not come as surprise to anyone.

And it will happen again for the party of the NEXT new President regardless Democrat or Republican.
