On CNN, republican panel members, Alice Stewart and former congresswoman Mia Love, just dumped all over Donald Trump
Stewart made the point, that trump likely entered the day believing in a red wave and "HE was going to be crowned the kingmaker" but instead he lost his crown and it's time for the GOP to move on from trump.
Mia Love made the point that it appears that trump's endorsements may have actually hurt those candidates, and the Governors who trump attacked (DeSantis and Kemp) both won handily!

republican political strategist scott jennings tweeted " how can anyone look at the results tonight and still think trump has any chance of winning in 2024? "
In the last 4 midterm elections, the president's party has lost an average of 37 House seats. Now democrats appear to be doing better than expected with no big republican wave. Republican McConnell is right to downplay expectations because of poor quality GOP candidates. Even a mediocre Biden is better than Trump the worst president in modern history. Despite inheriting a mess from Trump, Biden has more positive accomplishments in 2 years than some presidents achieved in 8 years.

Like i said in the previous threads, DeSantis has emerged as their new big name to run the 2024 presidential campaign. I will prefer either Mike DeWine or Larry Hogan to run our country if GOP should win 2024 presidential campaign, definitively not DeSantis.

@Europa
If true this sets up a "yuge" confrontation between Trump and Desantis.
Europa, what about a Democrat nominee for 2024? Two questions for ya,
Do you think it should still be Joe Biden?
Do you think it will be Joe Biden?

cut from msn ::
Sarah Matthews, a close former advisor to then President Donald Trump, said Wednesday that the results of the U.S. midterm elections "are the best indicator" that the former president should not run for office in 2024.

its intresting that in a swing state and the expected backlash in the first midterm of a new president the repo candidate endorsed by donnie chump couldnt even defeat a guy still clearly suffering from the effects of a stroke what does that say ??
That Trump's endorsement for a weak candidate like Dr. OZ almost guarantees a loss for GOP.

the pro maga media morons were telling us to expect a huge tidal wave of red . what the hell happened ?
Good Q. But I think in the final analysis the answer is going to be trump.
He lost the popular vote in 2016 to a woman.
He then lost the House and the Senate.
Then he lost the WH in 2020.
Now this fiasco where republicans are clearly underperforming expectations, at a time when trump has made DeSantis an adversary, and that very popular adversary just swept Florida handily, increasing calls for him to declare for 2024.
donald trump is a loser.
trump supporters across social medias will now either silently crawl back under the stove whence they came, increase their relentless/petty partisan bashing of the President and Democrats just because, or they will distance themselves from being a trump supporter.

georgia senate election is going to a run off turnout will b crucial among fatigued georgian voters the libertarian candidate took over 2% of the votes republican alice stewart said on cnn it is more likely those 2% will break for senator warnock
AGREED! Warnock marginally ahead already, and I expect he would get the bulk of those Libertarian's voters as well. If that bet later becomes available, I'll be all over Warnock to win, and those odds likely to be small, perhaps in the -125 to -150 range which will increase my profit margin. I'll likely be throwing 4 digits on that one at each of my outs.
