New York City on Sunday announced a new minimum pay-rate for app food delivery workers amid a rise in use of services like Uber Eats and DoorDash since the pandemic.
Manhattan’s 60,000 food delivery workers currently make on average about $7.09 an hour, according to a news release, explaining the new pay-rate will allow them to eventually earn at least $19.96 an hour. The pay will increase to $17.96 an hour on July 12 then increase again to nearly $20 an hour in April 2025.
Pay will be adjusted annually for inflation.

I’m sure you fellows have had some enchanting camaraderie , and some spirited and invigorating discussions in the past , but by not even give him the courtesy of a response , or not even attempting to make an effort to hash out your differences , whether you agree with him or not on what he said , is childish and let’s be honest , it’s rude

The Teamsters union is holding a vote right now among more than 330,000 members to authorize a strike against UPS. If UPS workers strike, it would be the largest single-employer strike in US history. And it could take place in less than eight weeks.
A strike could be devastating for both the company and the overall US economy, which is only recently seeing improvements from strained supply chains during the pandemic. An estimated 6% of the United States’ gross domestic product, the broadest measure of the economy, moves in UPS trucks, according to the company.
*If the union votes to strike, will Joe Biden be blamed by FOX News viewers?

@Zeus4par You really think the rural internet plan was Biden's idea? His idea is how to get up in the morning and make it through the day. I dont think he has many accomplishments in his entire political career that are his and his alone. I'm sure 100 plus politicians would correct your fallacy about Biden being instrumental for this or any political decision.

@KellyM_1964 Your boys dont answer replies and you wonder why others get annoyed... So why does this massive continent have issues with affordable internet? It might be due to the size, the mountain ranges, the cost of infrastructure and the fact nobody wants to bear those costs. Anyone can purchase internet anywhere for the most part but people dont want to pay what the cost would be for that service. Corps cant afford to run fiber through the entire continent or build cell towers to transmit signal, the costs are huge and the payback for private corps is very long, not worth the cost. So the government has to step in and foot the tab and that means the taxpayer is paying...that is how it works.

Labor secretary Su is in California to help break deadlock in negotiations between waterfront employers and dockworkers union after year long collective bargaining for new contract. A strike could cost US economy potentially $1 billion daily.
