GAS PRICES CONTINUE FALLING

Average gas prices in Minnesota have fallen 8.1 cents
per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.06 a gallon
today according to GasBuddy’s survey of over 2800
stations in Minnesota.
Prices in Minnesota are 32.7 cents per gallon lower than
a month ago and stand 27.9 cents per gallon lower than
a year ago.
The national average price of diesel has fallen 5.2 cents
in the past week and stands at $4.23 a gallon.

Gas prices continue to fall
Average gasoline prices in Texas average $2.66/g today,
according to GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 stations in Texas.
Prices in Texas are 30.8 cents per gallon lower than a month
ago and stand 16.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
For context, when Biden took office the avg price of gas in Texas was 2.00. So gas is ~.66c higher today than when Biden took office
For more context, gas at a historic level always declines during the winter.

You are joking with that reply, you have to be. How about some context and background to such a sweeping generalization?
Why was gas 2 per gallon when Biden took office, was that due to Trump? Was that due to the economic environment, the drop in demand and thus the drop in price of crude?
If you want to insult a reply and put them in their place then you need to be comprehensive with your information, not using a talking point which data was generated from some pretty serious economic context missing.
Gas prices, oil prices are not due to Trump or Biden...there is a big fat monopoly in the room who controls pricing, demand is the variable we control but supply not at all. North American production is at all time highs yet oil and gas prices are not at all time lows...I wonder why that is.

So why don't you go after the original post that congratulated Biden for getting gas prices lower? If your argument is that the Pres has no control over gas prices, then why don't you state that to the posts that continue to give Biden credit for lowering gas prices? That would be BECAUSE those postings crediting Biden are following the implied logic of those posters who bash Biden for everything and have for the past 2+ years, INCLUDING ON RISING GAS PRICES AND RISING INFLATION THAT RESULTS FROM RISING GAS PRICES. Tit for tat. If Biden is to blame for RISING gas prices according to the Biden bashing MAGA cult then likewise Biden must be given credit for dropping prices according to THEIR LOGIC!
I agree with WSC because what he states is factual. OPEC is largely the controller of pricing worldwide, not whomever happens to occupy the US white house in any given year.
But on this forum, if anyone is going to use stupid, deluded rationale to bash Biden when prices go up, it just stands to reason there is every justification to cheer when the prices come down. If the MAGAS want to pout and whine about it then all the better, since they started it all in the first place!

US gas prices: 2018 to 2023 US gas prices per gallon have wavered between a national average of $1.84 and $4.99 since 2018. Americans saw the lowest annual average in 2020, when the average cost for a gallon of gas was $2.19. Fast-forward three years and gas is running an average of $3.58 so far in 2023.

If this administration would have actually worked with Ukraine and Russia to resolve the actual issues the world would be a better place. Lives would have been saved, inflation a lot lower, and energy costs much lower.

true over a year ago opec made the decision to increase their profits by severely cutting production to hike world oil prices when they act in unison like that everybody pays
in 2015 they did the opposite in an aggressive effort to sink or at least sharply hurt competitors
what opec does affects us directly

Stay out of their threads then...simple solution. If you do not like them cheering Biden the solution is not to be as bad or worse than they are. Avoid interacting with members who are not wanting your interaction, who will not reply, who have a narrative in their posting style and that narrative is not breaking the rules.

Actually your sarcasm is correct, the funds spent on Ukraine do not impact the monopoly who control supply and global demand is not controlled by Biden either.
If your narrative were correct we would see MUCH lower prices since NA supply is at all time highs.
The only way we could control pricing as a POTUS or country or generalized population is if the government controlled imports and exports of crude from this continent. If we only consumed what we or Canada produced and did not allow exports of product, THEN we control supply. Our capitalism kind of sinks pricing since we allow corps to send product wherever the best pricing is for their profits. If we do not 100% control our supply and demand then the POTUS has Z E R O impact on pricing on crude products when a monopoly controls supply.
Well, I would, but you seem to constantly box similar threads that support the other side. So I'd ask that you refrain from boxing similar threads that support the opposite side.
