The US economy is back to pre-'trump-pandemic' levels

The US economy in the second quarter expanded at a slower rate than expected
but still at its fastest pace since last fall,   growing at a seasonally adjusted,
annualized rate of 6.5%.

In terms of real gross domestic product — the broadest measure of economic activity -
the economy has now recovered  in one critical measure,

in that it has grown bigger than its pre-'trump-pandemic' size.  

Note:  it's not perfect, never was, and never will be -- but it's improving its way out of yet another disaster from a preceeding REPUBLICAN administration. 

What will a successfully repaired & improving economy under Democrat administration really mean? 

It means the American public *WILL* certainly put the REPUBLICANS back in the majority in the House and Senate in 2022 GUARANTEED  and likely grant the REPUBLICANS the WH in 2024. 

And personally, I expect to be wagering BIG MONEY on those outcomes, just as I did when I bet HEAVY against trump being re-elected.

Senate and House pass $2.1B bill for Capitol security
and to assist Afghans who helped US in war 

WASHINGTON – Both the Senate and House passed a $2.1 billion bipartisan bill
Thursday that would provide funding to bolster security on Capitol Hill and
pay back authorities who fended off rioters there Jan. 6.

The bill will also provide $1 billion to supporting the relocation of Afghans
who assisted the U.S. during the war, such as interpreters and translators. 

In June, the Biden administration agreed to relocate them while their
visa applications are vetted.

Finally, Center for disease control announces 70% of all US adults have received at least one covid vaccine dose.  Great achievement under Biden presidency because vaccinating US population is harder than international vaccine development.  Now serious illness is largely preventable.  In Massachusetts, 900 infected vaccinated residents report only 7 hospitalizations and no deaths.

Today, President Biden says NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo should resign.

Biden administration announces new
targeted moratorium on evictions!

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden's administration Tuesday issued
a targeted moratorium on evictions in areas hardest hit by COVID-19,
replacing a nationwide evictions freeze that expired Saturday
despite legal concerns about doing so unilaterally.

About 11 MILLION renters are behind on rent (due to the trump-virus) and in danger of eviction.

The new action, in effect for 60 days, bans evictions in counties with
high rates of COVID-19 transmission, reflecting where the CDC recommends
vaccinated residents mask indoors and in public settings.

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky signed the order Tuesday evening
after Biden confirmed the move earlier in the day.

The president said he sought input from constitutional scholars to determine
whether the CDC had the legal authority to issue a new evictions action but
it was unclear whether it could pass constitutional muster.

"Today is a day of extraordinary relief," Pelosi said.
