When you shut down businesses, then turn the money printer on and give almost everyone "free" money (which you'll eventually get higher taxes or in this case, inflation to recoup) which increases demand while basically halting supply, of course prices are going to rise as you burn through supply without new production. The real problem is prices are rising at a much faster rate then incomes are rising. I agree it appears as though we have more takers than givers & that isn't healthy for our society or economy. I don't really know when that changed in our country.
