This is a hypocritical bunch for sure. Same group that claims Trump did not really mean to encourage his sheep at the Stop the Steal gathering right outside of Capitol Building, January 6th to fight and attack Democratic lawmakers to stop certification of the election when he stated. "if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore." "We’re going to walk down, and I’ll be there with you. We are going to the Capitol."

Somehow none of these words actually meant fight or incite violence. However, Biden's words are dangerous and mean assassinate or else. Like you said Biden's words carry meaning, but Trump's do not for some odd reason. 

Both men’s words carry meaning . They’re both wrong . But the way people choose to interpret those words is where everything goes wrong . Incredible post. Both events may have caused head damage and that's about it. Trump's words, if any, were post event, Biden pre-event.

And as media headlines painted Trump as this evil villian like Forbes; "TRUMP MOCKS HAMMER ATTACK IN INCENDIARY SPEECH" Trump was quoted as saying; "How’s her husband doing by the way?” and saying a “wall around her house” didn’t do a “good job” . 

CNN; "TRUMP JOINS THE PAUL PELOSI CONSPIRACY CAUCUS"  Trump said; 

It’s weird things going on in that household in the last couple of weeks,” Trump said. “You know, probably, you and I are better off not talking about it. The glass, it seems, was broken from the inside to the out and, you know, so, it wasn’t a break in, it was a break out.”

Trump went on to say that he’s “not a fan of Nancy Pelosi,” but that what happened was “very sad.” He added: “The whole thing is crazy. I mean, if there’s even a little bit of truth to what’s being said, it’s crazy. But the window was broken in and it was strange the cops were standing there practically from the moment it all took place.”

Wow, he was sooo evil and bad to say those words!!

 So to you "fairly" means side with you and allow abuses to those you disagree with, box or ban people who disagree with you or with your side. Define fairly for me using the site rules not political nonsense.

I dont care what side you are on, that means nothing and there are MANY from both groups here that have no issues posting and are capable of existing and interacting just fine. Then there are members who cannot keep the rules and get boxed or banned, on BOTH sides.

You are a bruiser who likes to attack and belittle the MEMBER here, you cannot control your temper and it has consequences, you do not like consequences so you complain about fairness. If you cant post here and keep the rules at the same time then maybe you are not suited to post in the politics forum? I notice in most any discussion you are involved with it gets personal and you start digging at the member because you lack self control. 

Fairness is the site rules and only the site rules, I hope you and everyone here can remember that respect and consideration are what is expected anywhere on the site, no personal attacks or abuses to others. If you feel someone else is breaking the rules then send a user report, but be aware that when any member makes a report most of the time if the reporting member is involved in the problem then action might  not be taken so be sure if you submit a report that you are also not breaking the rules yourself.

I do not believe that they were identical . I also respectfully disagree that is was far more impactful and that it will be more damaging in the end . 

When were these words spoken? Must of have been a different part of the speech. Not in his quotes when he said fight like hell or you will have not a country and said I'll march with you. Again interesting how you deduce this does not mean violence but Biden's words do. See how you play mental gymnastics to defend Trump's words no matter what? However, the same discretion and logic is not applied to Biden on your side. It's truly astounding.

I've always taken you for a serious person, a thoughtful individual who can balance the fact from fiction in this crazy world.... this comment, and the reasoning provided, has me questioning my previous assessment.  

Trumps impact on the psyche of some of you is dangerously scary.  There are professionals in the world that can assist with recovery.  Anyone struggling, please seek them out

The only thing the in common with your two examples being "identical" is your apt description of them being "senseless violence"   

The Pelosi spousal attack with a "hammer" had no more impact on the Country than it's contribution to creating memes and political jokes.  The impact was socially superficial.  Did it effect the outcome of a Presidential race ?  A Congressional race ?  Did the 2022 mids win all the Republicans seats because of its impact ?  

The full impact from the first Presidential assassination attempt since Reagan, over 30 years ago, is still yet to be determined.  I'm a betting man, and I'm betting it's impact is going to be a little stronger than Mr. Pelosi's incident....

The Pelosi incident happened because SHE is a politician, acts of violence happen every single day but her husband was attacked (and you could say she was the target but not really the point of the example) and if she were not a long term well known controversial politician I kinda think that guy would not have been there to do that act.

Trump is an ex-politician seeking to be a politician again, he is well known like Pelosi but for his businesses not his politics until recently.

The impacts are also not the point I was making, I consider the life of every single person on the earth to be the same value. The impacts are depending on the person, I get no more impacted from a squishy hit job on Trump than I did from a very personal home invasion attack on Pelosi's husband. This lame Trump incident was not the work of some foreign government or secret DEEP STATE society, it was a messed up kid with issues. That means zero impact wise to me, so since you lean towards revering Trump more than me the impact obviously seems enormous for you, it was not for me.

 No where did I comment on how either event effected you personally, I was clearly talking about the societal impact and future impact of this recent event on our upcoming election....surely you comprehended this.   

Again, no where did I state my personal feelings on how Saturday's event nor the Pelosi event, affected me so not sure why you are bringing "personal" feelings into play.  

My feelings, thoughts and distaste on Trump, Biden, our political system in general are well documented here and you and I have had discussion after discussion on this so your "revering Trump" comment to finish off your statement shows a major weakness in your psyche.

Maybe you need to focus on staying away from the personal jabs you make at me and the unnecessary partisan fights you drag me and others into and work on being respectful and less confrontational.

My original context from the FIRST reply that got your feathers ruffled was that the two events were identical and then I also stated HOW and WHY they were identical. Now if that hurts your RNC feelings suggesting that a lowly DNC politician hubby is similar to the RNC dictator well I cant help you with that. My perspective hasnt changed as to the comment.

1.  after my initial comment and your response, I AGREED with your assessment of the use of the term "identical".  This is me, now for 2nd time, agreeing with you.  THIS means that there is no longer any further reason to discuss said point.  That is how normal discussion works.  Not "attacking", just conversation.  Are you feeling disrespected because I responded to your comment with a different point?  I acknowledged you then moved on to my point on societal & election impacts.  

2.  You clarified in response and started talking about how it effected / didn't effect YOU personally then you tried to assume what my personal thoughts / feelings were.  Mistake on you, not me.  I politely addressed this fact.  

3.  If you think because I called you out for throwing in the "revered Trump" jab, because you know that is not my purview, that is somehow "attacking" or "disrespectful" then what exactly is your role here as moderator?  

Lastly, your post #2341, the part where you address "foreign governments" and "deep state".  Not sure what that has to do with anything I said.  I never once in this thread or any other thread, brought up or insinuated either of those topics.

If you do not want me to reply to something you post, the best way to accomplish that is to not post it in the first place. When you say garbage like in 2334 what kind of response do you think I will make? 

Then you follow up with difficult time stuff constantly riding Trump's swimsuit as you do, then you get upset when I say this impacted you more than me...your posts and threads speak your truth not anything I say or do. You revere Trump more than I do, but the original point was that the two events were identical to ME and I said the reasons why...that I do not revere ANYONE more than another, so since this was not some 9-11 terrorist attack from an organization intending to do harm to the large general public, the impact is no different to me than the Pelosi event and in fact the impact of a home invasion and attack is more personal and cringing to me because a home invasion IS personal so a poor shot attempt by a messed up kid doesnt impact me or politics at all...now it does cause social media to go into full wack mode as we are seeing but the impact on society and politics is a zero here. So my comment was not about how it impacted ME specifically, my comment was more that it really does not impact society outside of shock value...super low low odds that anyone is harmed going forward and the government is not at risk.
