The Lord answered my prayer about James Comey....

Guys every night before bed I say my prayers. I pray for family my life wisdom etc. Last night In prayer I said "Lord Comey is testifying tomorrow.... I want you to show the world who he is. Expose him and what he stands for" My prayer got answered.

No matter your belief on the President and your opinion of him Comey showed who he is. With his tears about the FBI which he ran and he did a poor job. To never saying President Trump wasn't under investigation when he did for HRC. He set that precedent. To his admitting Loretta Lynch told him what to say and not say concerning the HRC investigation. To admitting he leaked his memo from meetings with Trump{yet he never had memos with the last president}and not only admitted he leaked it....But unmasked who the one was who leaked it

This guy led the FBI? Comey would be terrible at anything. He'd be a terrible FBI director A terrible Girl Scout Leader Terrible commissioner of the world wide wrestling federation. This guy who preached about Asssange and leaks bleeping leaked to the press! And why didn't any senator ask who is leaking all this sh%T?

Which gets me to my next point: The House and Senate shouldn't be allowed to investigate anything. These people are doing nothing all day and instead of cutting taxes and fixing healthcare they're Officer Barbrady and Inspector Butters from South park trying to play detective

James Comey exposed himself and showed who he is. A political hack who wanted a "Trump card" On the president to use as leverage for blackmail. James Comey was the clog in pipes that prevented the  swamp from being drained

He knows who the leakers are and were and did nothing. People like Comey and the last administration pulled off a coup and turned America into a police state/banana republic. My prayer was answered.

You're right about it's only just begun. And it's only going to get worse & worse for Trump & his cohorts. Comey was in a very tough spot with the reports he put out in regards to Clinton's emails, but overall has always been very respected on both sides. And with Trump as well until he knew Comey had too much integrity to go along with him. Then, a day after Yates testified & just before Comey was supposed to, he fired him. Would be nice to see some sane judgement, logic & common sense along with a spine & integrity from repub leaders & right wingers in general. Very easy for any objective person to see both motive & intent regardless of the legal ramifications of the "words" themselves But guess it will take Trump's approval #'s to dip into the very low 30's & the BS becoming so obvious that repub leaders & others in congress have to turn away for their own rep & survival. Dark days in America. Though Trump didn't come from nowhere or out of a vacuum, he & his minions/cabal seem to be a tragic culmination of a growing "win at all costs regardless of anything" strategy the repubs adopted back in the days of Roger Stone, super pacs etc which had zero to do with the betterment of the country

I don't believe anything Trump did is grounds for any charges but as I was watching the testimony today I found many cringe worthy moments that were Trump's fault. Trump tried to intimidate Comey from the start. Trump needed to be taught a lesson.

I'd like to see some humility in Trump going forward after this. I'd like to know the name of the person he has around him at all times who he cannot fire and keeps him in line.

I think Hillary would have fired Comey much sooner and I lost every bit of respect for Loretta Lynch and Obama for their role in protecting Hillary. Hillary ordered her emails deleted by bleachbit AFTER they were subpoenaed which shows intent and I don't get how Comey didn't see that.

I was watching tv last night with my wife and we were watching either Bret Baier's show or Tucker Carlson's and we're watching the Comey stuff and she said the following to me:

Wife: You realize he set him up right?

Me. Yeah Comey set him up

Wife: No Trump set him up. When he fired him and tweeted Comey better hope I don't have tapes before he starts leaking

Me: Yeah honey but he doesn't have tapes...

Wife: Whether he does or doesn't is irrelevant. He knew Comey would leak and probably has leaked in the past. He put tapes in the tweet to get him to leak. Even though after the leak there was a special prosecutor named who cares if you're innocent? He did it Comey leaked and went up to DC today and finally admitted Trump isn't under investigation and admitted himself he leaked the memo. Trump set him up and Comey is stupid to realize it

Defense attorneys will have a field day taking apart Comey's testimony if it gets to the point where Trump is charged.  Nothing Comey said yesterday would lead to any charges against Trump that a prosecutor would want to try.   Mueller could change all this so we will have to wait and see.

Cashin you should learn something about the privileges every president enjoys. He has the right to stop or start any investigation he pleases. Did you know that? Comey did a horrible job. He contradicted himself, and made himself look like a disgruntled bumbling idiot. How could he believe he was fired over Russia, but go on to say he was never pressured over the Russia hoax?

Trump welcomed an investigation... Comey: "The president went on to say that if there were some 'satellite' associates of his who did something wrong, it would be good to find that out, but that he hadn't done anything wrong and hoped I would find a way to get it out that we weren't investigating him."

Democrat: So if the Attorney General or senior officials at the Department of Justice - opposes a specific investigation, can they halt that FBI investigation?

Comey: “In theory yes.”

Democrat: Has it happened?

Comey: “Not in my experience. It’s not happened in my experience.”

Case closed. Comey was fired for doing a shitty job. Leaks, leaks everywhere and let Hillary get away with multiple felonies. He is nothing but a democrat mole.

I'd love for Trump to fire all of Obama's appointees.  That would certainly lower the level of competency that I believe is fairly low to begin with at this point.  I'm waiting for some crises to occur domestically and watch for the hilarity that I expect to ensue.  I did see the Republicans are rolling back Dodd-Frank so I guess I can hope for the stock market to crash in the future and for everyone to lose their entire savings.  That would be a good laugh, although it could take quite a while for it to occur.  It's a certainty because the market always crashes at some point historically, especially when big banks are allowed to gamble with consequences of extreme volatility.  Better hope a big bank that's too big to fail doesn't have something happen.  That could be disasterous...

I do agree with Killer_B.  My first thought when I read cashin's post is that there's no way in hell Trump would quit.  That action doesn't match the individual at all.

No, it sounds like basically an honest man trying to explain his thoughts & actions fully. In many ways, Trump is his own worst enemy. Beyond being more unsuited for the office than any potus before in a myriad of ways, he's been foolish even in protecting his ownself. He's a salesman & fraud who's in far over his head and should be easy for any objective person to see...he shows & proves it on an almost daily & weekly basis. According to legal experts, Comey didn't violate the law.  Legal to leak nonclassified information of public interest that is unrelated to national security.  If Trump files a complaint with justice department, that could constitute obstruction of justice and witness intimidation.  However Comey's leak did succeed in getting a special prosecutor appointed for investigations.
