 Yes, I'm aware of the state constitution preventing a sitting Governor to be a candidate for president. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see this scumbag declare "executive privilege" allowing him to do so even though state judges do not recognize executive privilege as a power of the Governor's.

I also think his trip to Cali is to test the waters nationally & see the potential financial donors he can pillage.

Yes, his 2nd term win was lopsided but don't forget he won his 1st term I believe by 10k votes statewide. Running against Charlie Crist had a lot to do with his decisive win.

I don't like Rubio or Scott but they have big money behind them. Once DeSantis becomes a more visible politician nationwide & has to deal with the POS one on one, you'll see what I see about the man.

In fact, if Gretchen Whitmer decided to run for president, she would beat everyone IMO.

As you noted before, Larry Hogan would be an excellent moderate-republican presidential candidate.

It's whimsical, but if either Michelle Obama or OPRAH ran for president, it would surely be a Dem rout over the GOP.

Personally I believe the BEST person for the job - who would hand the GOP a beatdown in a virtual landslide - if he changes his mind and runs - is California Gov, Gavin Newsome.

VERY popular in the most populace state!  During the republican generated recall vote he actually won by a greater percentage than he did the first time -- despite the covid protocols that many people complained about!!

All Dems and most independents would likely rally behind him, imo, and if the republican nominee is some whacko MAGA dumphck like trump - then we could count on a sizable number of REPUBLICANS rallying behind Newsome too!  Seriously!
