So Nature, you don't see Ron DeSantis beating Donald Trump in the GOP presidential primary? It looks like DeSantis will give it a run, dude has played far right culture war as his primary tactics. DeSantis might try to lure some GOP hard liners by attacking "Woke" agenda, war on banning college board or AP classes, and war on Walt Disney. Dude tries to mold himself as a crusader or something like that.

Sure pray we are not still talking about the Russian invasion in 2024 & that the Ukrainian people are rebuilding their lives. 

I agree with Europa & don't believe DeSantis should be stirring up shit when he hasn't even declared his intention to run for president. If he decides to do so, the POS will kick his ass & he'll be unemployed. 

As you know, SW Florida is still reeling from Hurricane Ian & more state assistance is needed there. We don't need a part-time Governor in Florida.

Polls show less educated voters tend to favor Trump.  They prefer a candidate who share their views over someone more capable of beating Biden.  This may be a bad indicator for republicans in 2024 election.  Midterm elections show that culture wars don't appeal to independent and democrat voters.  If republicans don't learn to appeal to non-republicans next year, they may face fourth consecutive loss in federal elections.  Similar to Clinton, Biden is using smart re-election strategy of many policies appealing to a wide range of voters.

I guess that is my point..... Russia has claimed 20% of Ukraine in the past year while the West (America) has been dumping hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars in military & financial support to accomplish exactly what???   Forecast that out over the next year to 18 months and what direction do you think the support is going to lead???  

Do you think the American people, the vast majority of whom only get their news from local and mainstream sources, have been told that Ukraine will "never lose" from day #1 are going to continue in their unwavering support?  Add in the fact that those same people are going to continue to see economic living conditions falter with inflation pressures potentially even worse than they are today?  Banks? Euro banks are now in trouble and the reverberations of whatever happens to that market will be highly felt across the pond here.  We are only beginning to feel the effects of the FED's tightening cycle....the lag effects are just now beginning to hit from the initial hikes.  Something is going to break, the SVB deal was just an appetizer.  Bear Stearns was 4-6 months ahead of Lehman failing in 08....my bet is whatever is next isn't going to take 6 months.  Point is, more important issues will rise to the top for the everyday American that will veto the unwavering & unlimited support for slava Ukraini.  

So much more is going on behind the scenes, this isn't checkers on the world stage, it is multi-dimensional chess being played and unfortunately America is the one still trying to double jump the red pieces....  

Yes, I agree on RDS and Florida.... I've stated multiple times I would rather have RDS here in Florida vs. DC. He has yet to announce he is running obviously but sure sounds like he is running a "shadow campaign" right now.  Trump is a fucking idiot for attacking DS like he has been with all of his childish name calling insecure antics.  No surprise though.  Trump is gonna burn down the entire GOP in his quest for re-election....which wouldn't be a bad thing in the evolution of changing our "2 party within the Uniparty system", but the '24 election would easily go to whoever is on the DNC ticket (as Nature as pointed out several times over the past weeks).  

The only thing that makes me question Trump not taking the nomination is money....cash is king.  Ken Griffin and the Koch brothers are all on record for not backing Trump.  Now if RDS officially announces, which would have to be after the Florida legislature makes a special exception rule to repeal the law preventing the sitting Governor to run for POS, that will open up the curtain and give a more accurate picture on if lil Ron could actually take the nomination over Trump.  Like I said, and credit to covers posters who previously stated this, Trump will do everything to burn down everything around him if he can't win.

 The narrative of Putin wanting to re-build the Iron Curtain is one of the biggest propaganda loads of BS out there.....  I wish I could find my old post on my prediction of what was going to happen with the conflict. 

 Essentially it was that there would eventually be a cease fire that gave the Dontesk regions that Russia invaded (now has control over) to Russia through referendum of the people, same as what happened with Crimea in 2014.  "Select" Eastern block regions of Ukraine would go to Russia control so that their is essentially a new land buffer between old Ukraine and Russia.....and some new resolution of Ukraine not joining NATO would be enacted.  Kiev stays with Ukraine, the vast majority of the Country stays as is.  That is increasingly looking like the likely outcome.  

P.S.  China's President/Emperor Xi is meeting with Zelensky next week in what will be the beginning of China's effort to broker a peace deal.  Xi will follow his visit with little Z by traveling to Moscow to meet with Putin....

 Not knocking your personal stance, just pointing out what is most likely to happen.  Be prepared to be disappointed if you believe at the end of this Russia isn't going to have more territorial annexation vs. prior to the start of the War.  Russia already has majority control of the Donetsk region....how is Ukraine going to regain that?  Answer:  they can't.  Not without the US/NATO military forces on the ground..... 

Normal MS media coverage is of course not giving the World an accurate picture of what is going on over there.  The Donbass region is Ukraine's industrial region, along with Luhansk...Russia has stated that control of these regions has been a goal from the beginning of the conflict.  They aren't interested in taking Kiev....they want to create a "buffer zone" between Russia's border and Western Ukraine.  Look at a territorial conflict map and you'll see how they have advanced directionally and also where they currently control. 2014 Crimea and how that all played out is gonna show history repeating itself.
