and another 11 states have waived key restrictions to mail voting.

During a contagious pandemic which trump is largely responsible for in the US,

voting by mail becomes crucial to protect American lives....

...so of course, trump is doing everything he can to make the system fail.

An overwhelming majority of Americans 
say the US response to coronavirus
makes them feel  embarrassed

A strong majority of Americans (58%) in a new poll disapproved
of President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic,
with 68% saying they're embarrassed by the US response.

Ninety-three percent of Democrats and 33% of Republicans said
they're more embarrassed than proud by the way the US had
responded to the coronavirus outbreak.
The US has the most reported coronavirus fatalities in the world.

from using the same method President Donald Trump and first lady
Melania Trump used this week: casting mail-in votes with help from
a designated contact, who is authorized to pick up and drop off the ballots.

Senate won't convene until after Aug recess. House Republicans can draw any legislation for vote. They have no char position... Trump doesn't represent the Republican party. 

Rotting meat & fruits from undelivered packages are attracting rodents and bugs in Post Office locations across the country.

The one governmental institution, the Post Office that has 87% approval rate from all Americans, is now totally fucked up because of the POS in the WH.

He will try to destroy the "good" in our country on his way out the door.

Time for Republicans to think about our country first.

Trump's major federal voting lawsuit
in Pennsylvania, effectively shut down

CNN, Sun August 23, 2020

(CNN) President Trump's plan to sue Pennsylvania in federal court
to determine how the state conducts mail-in voting has been
effectively shut down by a US district court judge.

The judge, Nicholas Ranjan of the US District Court in the Western
District of Pennsylvania, decided Sunday that Trump's federal lawsuit
against the Secretary of the Commonwealth over the use of drop boxes,
poll watching and other voting processes should be put on hold,
while state court cases about voting move forward.

It's a setback for Republicans, where there are several ongoing
cases that could determine how the battleground state's voters cast ballots
this election.
Ranjan was appointed by Trump...
Previously, Ranjan had told Trump and the Republicans they needed
to provide evidence of fraud in Pennsylvania voting this year.  (they didn't)

Pennsylvania is one of only a handful of states 
where Trump has sued to make mail-in voting tougher

rejected the Trump administration’s *DEMAND* to restore all U.N.
sanctions on Iran, a move that drew an angry rebuke from the U.S.
ambassador who accused opponents of supporting “terrorists.”

All the council members, except the Dominican Republic, had informed the
council president that the U.S. administration’s action was illegal because
Trump withdrew in 2018 from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA.

Twitter flags one of Trump's tweets
citing voter dissuasion

In a tweet on Sunday, Trump called mail drop boxes a "voter security disaster"
and said they were not sanitized to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Within hours, Twitter responded to the tweet with a notice, saying that the
post broke its rules related to "misleading health claims" and could potentially
"dissuade people from participation in voting."

The platform also flagged the tweet, so it's now hidden behind a gray banner.
Trump's post was retweeted more than 2,400 times.

(CNN) Americans rank dead last -- by a long way -- among citizens of more than a
dozen countries who were asked whether their nation is more united now than it
was before the coronavirus pandemic, according to a survey released Thursday.
And they come in a statistical joint last place with the British on whether their
country has handled the pandemic well, the poll finds.
In the United States, fewer than two in 10 people (18%) said the country is more
united now.

That's a full 21 percentage points below the next lowest-ranking countries,
Germany and France, where just under four in 10 (39%) respondents expressed
that opinion. Denmark had the highest percentage saying their country was
more united now, with more than seven in 10 (72%) giving that answer.

The findings come from a Pew Research Center survey of 14 advanced economies
in North America, Europe and Asia. The Washington, DC-based think tank
interviewed 14,276 adults by telephone from June 10 to August 3.

New York (CNN Business) The White House said in a story published Thursday
that it was compiling a "very large" dossier on a Pulitzer Prize-winning
Washington Post reporter and others who it said are a "disgrace to journalism
and the American people."

The astonishing revelation about the White House's efforts to discredit reporter
David Fahrenthold came after The Post requested comment for a Thursday
story he wrote with two colleagues. The story, co-bylined by reporters Josh
Dawsey and Joshua Partlow, detailed how President Trump's company
"charged the U.S. government more than $900,000" for hotel rooms fees
among other services at Mar-a-Lago.

In a statement, White House spokesperson Judd Deere accused
The Washington Post of "blatantly interfering with the business
relationships of the Trump Organization" and demanded "it must stop."
"Please be advised that we are building up a very large 'dossier' on
the many false David Fahrenthold and others stories as they are a
disgrace to journalism and the American people," Deere said.

Testing "as many people as possible"
key to controlling coronavirus,
NIH directors say

Testing “as many people as possible” is vital to helping fight the
coronavirus pandemic, 11 directors of some of the various
National Institutes of Health said Tuesday.

Their joint blog post contradicts recently changed guidance
from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
CDC guidance about testing was changed last month to indicate that
not everyone who has been near or with someone with coronavirus
needs to be tested. A senior federal health official told CNN this
was because of pressure from the Trump administration.
