Trump's outrageous rhetoric incites violence against court workers, political enemies and their families. Fascists always want to de-humanize targets and brainwash supporters to see violence as necessary or patriotic. For example, many of those convicted in January 6 attack on capitol. If re-elected, Trump plans mass imprisonments and transformation of US into an autocracy. Clearly, he is a threat to democracy and rule of law.
Trump points out a judge's daughter works for democrats and has posted on social media she has memes with him behind bars. He complains of unfair trial, TRUE!, and you claim that incites violence.
I got news for you, it's the left that has clearly shown democracy is thrown out the window when it's in YOUR way. Rule of law, a fair, level playing field can be ignored if YOU deem it justified.

The insurrection where not ONE PERSON has been charged with insurrection. You would think with all the Trump charges made up at least one would be for insurrection.

Sorry but there is no way crime is down from what I see. A DEM can create a narrative that gives an outcome which validates a narrative, a REPUB can do the same for the same purpose.
I also do not know why there is a need for dividing topics and threads which are subjective and inaccurate? Crime is not down I dont care what stat you whip up I do not buy it. When there is unrest and uncertainty crime goes up not down. I am also a believer that human nature creates crime and last I checked people are more selfish, divided, antagonistic and uncertain for a variety of reasons and a corrosive political environment. I'd like to see a large and visible a tangible difference in society that crime is down and outside the fact municipalities are so crammed full of cases and prisoners that they have relaxed the measure of what crime is I do not see a decrease in totality and I feel less safe and more at risk now that I have in my life.
Absolutely crime is down. This is not even in dispute. The crime rate has been trending down for quite some time.
Just because social media and news outlets keep political strife going does not mean the crime rate is not down. These are very separate issues.
I do not know where you checked to find that people are more selfish and divided and, therefore, crime is up. This is not the case and there is very little correlation.
To see a visible and tangible difference that crime is down -- you would have to do exactly what all of the studies and reporting agencies already have done.
Whether you choose to believe them or not is a whole other thing altogether.
You can argue that more needs to be done to bring the crime down even more, to hold offenders accountable more, or to bring down certain categories more that may be level or up slightly -- but overall crime is down.
Feeling less safe may be a regionally specific thing for you. But if you lived in O Block South Chicago or certain parts of Philly or Oakland it would be understood how you would feel that way. But even PHX overall, the crime rate is down.
Unless you are looking at a very time-specific grouping, maybe.
But nowadays with 24-hour news and social media it just seems you hear about every single crime or bad thing that happens.
Sure things can always get better or be improved.

Things get better when people get better, the things ARE people, there is no magic machine to make things better.
My point as I stated it is that relaxing the rules does not mean crime is down, rather that prosecuted and jailed crime numbers are down I do not personally feel especially in my area that crime is down nor can you quantify WHY crime would be down. I do not see a catalyst or reasoning for crime to trend down because our inherent nature as humans has not changed and if anything I see a more regular and repeated trend of theft without recourse, many more vehicle crime and hit/run incidents that now go pretty much ignored than any time I can recall. I just do not see any sign of crime improving and I for sure am not a social media hawk, I would consider myself the opposite.
