To those on the right I may have offended in the past (rick, kap, KOAJ, dl, Club, my man captjohn and ANYBODY else I may have forgot who feels they deserve to be included with the above)

I feel I owe this to you... consolidated thoughts inspired by my comments in another thread:

If I'm am speaking out against something to do with 'the right wing,' and it doesn't fit your views or beliefs (ie. you don't support what I'm criticizing) then I am not talking about you.

I do my best to separate the mindless drones from rational independent conservatives. It is tragic that people like you are unfortunately associated with the narrow-minded, irrational GOP supporters I am typically speaking out against. I apologize if you have been, or will be, offended by my extremely critical and sometimes inflammatory comments directed at them.

Please believe I do not think 'all' right wingers are the same unquestioning GOP supporters I oppose, and I am sorry for the times I have undoubtedly (yet unintentionally) offended you personally.

There are no independent conservatives in America..maybe in Canada ,but not in America ..

I know I don't claim to be independant like some others, (DL) there are a couple of liberal principles that aren't horrible IMV.

Disco if you could admit sometimes your political beliefs are wrong I wouldn't have started on you awhile ago I said Mulroney was the worst we ever had as PM which is true he should have serving a long prison term.

disco, if everyone took the time to consider and appreciate issues and differing points of view like you do, this would be a much better place.  you're far from offensive.  nothing offends me here. there are some who line up one way all of the time on everything; you know where they stand before they say anything.  that's the closest thing to offensive but i'd call it annoying.  that ain't you.

Regardless, I apologize to you as well be easy... for all of the very mean things I have said to you in the past, and for all of the countless times you were offended by my extremely harsh criticism of free market fundamentalism. 

Having said that, I still think we should generally continue avoid each other going forward.

No matter what you do, some people just won't accept an apology.  Maybe it's just a democratic thing to do..

 

I actually know people who say they will never forgive family members or friends and I have actually heard them recite the Lord's prayer. LOL

How can one ask for forgiveness if they won't forgive?  " As we forgive those who trespass against us "

It's not about forgiveness. It's about the personal gesture of offering an apology for the times my actions or words have offended somebody personally. Should they accept it or not would reflect more on them, their personal issues, and perception of the world than it reflects on me.

Actually, thank you for popping in don, I probably owe you an apology as well... If you have ever been offended by anything I have said negatively about religion or the church I truly do apologize to you sir.

I guess I shouldn't have neglected 'the left' with this thread come to think about it. Speaking of people I might inadvertently offend and all...

My apologies right back to you nif I have stepped on you as well. Although I dont think you and I have tangled on issues but I am sure we could just as I am sure we also have some common beliefs we share. As I always say on here; somewhere in the middle lies the answer/compromise.
