A convoy of vehicles from across the Netherlands brought The Hague’s city centre to a standstill on Saturday, protesting against coronavirus restrictions.
Inspired by Canadian truckers who congested the capital Ottawa, several hundred vehicles blocked access to the Binnehof, seat of the Dutch government, according to an estimate by public television.
The protesters started to arrive in the early morning in trucks, cars, tractors and even caravans, and many seemed determined to stay on even after a police warning on Twitter to move by 3:30 pm (1430 GMT).
The convoy will “continue to roll until fundamental and long-lasting change is enacted”, the organisers said in a statement, demanding the end to all Covid restrictions across the country.

Wouldn't Homeland Security send hundreds to any Super Bowl? When it was in the Bay Area, you could stand on the Embarcadero and count close to 10 sniper crews. They weren't hiding. A sniper and a spotter, that's almost 20 dudes just in snipers, in one area, miles away from game. Not even in the same county. Then there were tons of boots on the ground. So called freedom protest isn't about freedom or covid restrictions. It is really about selfishness to do whatever profesters want to do regardless of consequences to others. Absurd that protesters want to remove all covid restrictions because it's not worth hurting the economy to save countless lives. But their logic is flawed because saving lives also save the economy.
Freedoms are limited by how they interfere with other people's freedoms. So there is no freedom without the rule of law. If society tolerates citizens who ignore laws for the greater good, that is the road to anarchy which is destructive to individual liberties.

Laws and mandates written by a corrupt and tyrannical government should always be protested in order to protect the freedom of all citizens. There is zero need for a fascist bio-security state that usurps the rights of citizens by using fear tactics that are not based on real science. With an IFR of less than 1% and for which there are numerous existing therapies available, mandating vaccinations is uncalled for and hurts the economy.
The individual's unalienable right of bodily integrity and the right to be free from physical interference trumps any tyrannical government's laws that say otherwise. If society decrees that the population no longer has a right to bodily integrity, then the people become slaves of that society. A society that advocates mandatory vaccinations equally advocates slavery. And this is what thirdperson advocates.
