Misleading political stunt by Trump to appeal to his base before midterm election. This is a misuse of US military and big waste of taxpayers money. US law forbids military from detaining or deporting migrants. They can only legally assist border officials. For examples, transportation, medical care, fence reinforcement or helping refugees fill out forms. In 2018, illegal immigration is on pace to be lower than in all but 4 of previous 45 years.

Despite denials by national security experts, Trump claims the caravan is an invasion. But caravan consists mostly of unarmed children and families walking by feet for weeks. Most are refugees seeking asylum and most will not reach US border as numbers steadily decline. Probably just a few hundred people by the time the caravan reach US border. Obvious exaggeration of caravan as threat.

I think it is time for all of the Lefties on the board to make a trip to the border. Upon arrival please adopt a migrant family, take them to your home and take care of them for the next 18 years.  That would be the right thing to do. You would certainly be doing your &#x27;fair share&#x27;. Please let me know how it goes.

If Obama had wagged the dog like this, or made 11 rallies in 6 days like this, the right-wing wackos would have gone NUTS.Somehow what Trump is doing is completely acceptable. Well a caravan with 10,000 left for San Diego last spring 430 made it to Tijuana. The rest didn’t make it....

actually I consider myself a conservationist. Not sure if that fits any party. I believe that individuals make choices and must accept responsibility for those choices. However to prevent the obvious disparage of monetary policy government must be invoked to sustain our environment so life can exist perpetual and prosperous. With mind set of now vs the mindset of eternally so different. Government must insure our future has a chance to live with clean water air soil .
