BTW, why was a reporter from TASS in the room when reporters from the AP & Reuters were not allowed to attend? It's because Dipshit Donnie is a vengeful little prick.
Are you saying Zelensky is of high character?
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

Mr Farage also criticised president Zelensky for 'bowling up and showing no respect' to Mr Trump, because he failed to wear a suit and tie to his meeting in Washington DC.
He added: 'If I turned up at the White House I would make sure I was wearing a suit and my shoes were clean.'
After it was pointed out that the Ukrainian president was following in the footsteps of leaders such as Sir Winston Churchill in visiting in battle fatigues, he added: 'If Zelenky wants to bowl in and show no respect to a man who we all know is incredible old fashioned about this stuff... if you are going in with a positive mindset maybe Zelensky should have thought about that.'

Good read if you are truly interested in truths and realities of today, and how they came about. Nothing is simple these days and attempting to discuss the nuances of international politics cannot be done with a straight face if you are just regurgitating legacy news talking head points....

What makes you think Trump won’t stiff them like he’s stiffed everybody else in his lifetime?
You asked the wrong person. I did not say that, it was someone else's quote.
I am assuming that the OP of the quote is referring to America's largest US debt holders. China being the pertinent one in this conversation, and the 2nd largest holder after Japan of course. The scenario he was alluding to is not what I would say is "funny" by any means.

Interesting indeed. We live our lives worrying about what immediately concerns "us", & while I knew of the unrest in that region I didn't know of all the intricacies of it.

What does this mean? You quoted my post sharing a link on an article that helps outline the nuances of history between Russia and Ukraine in the post Soviet world.
government "blown up" ?? I do not endorse violence in any way shape or form.
If you are speaking metaphorically here, then that is a different story and we are no where close to it being "blown up". I do not wish any scenario where we no longer have a "government" per say. There are layers and layers of bureaucratic red tape, some entire organizations all the way down to simple bloated policies that need to go. Tear them down to the studs and rebuild I believe is an analogy I've used in the past. I've also recently stated that this should be done with the precision of a surgeons scalpel and not a sledgehammer....

Couldn't agree more. The "sledgehammer" or chainsaw approach not the best way by far. Believe they decided to move hard and fast thinking that would prevent Dems from creating layers and layers of obstacles, which they will and have already. Taking probationary employees out first is the least disruptive.
Another note; Why do I get the feeling watching the Dems tonight during Trump's address will be like standing in line at the grocery store watching a 4 yearold throw a tantrum for candy. Let's all watch tonight how the stupid POS Dems act during Trump's address. How childlike can they go?

I think Ukraine-Russia might be going OK. And you’re going to be finding out pretty soon,” Trump said aboard Air Force One. “There’s a point at which you have to either put up or shut up. We’ll see what happens, but I think it’s going fine.”
Moscow verbal response.
MOSCOW, April 13 (Reuters) - The Kremlin said on Sunday contacts with U.S. President Donald Trump's team were moving ahead very well but that it was too early to expect instant results
European leaders have condemned Russia's deadly missile strike on Ukraine's northeastern city of Sumy — an attack that killed at least 34 people, including two children, and injured 117.
Russia on April 13 launched two ballistic missiles at the city in northeastern Ukraine on the morning of Palm Sunday, when many citizens were celebrating the religious holiday in the leadup to Easter.

Upgraded weaponry. Forces Moscow to use more expensive ballistic missiles ..
The secretive device has reportedly been employed on the battlefield against low-flying targets, likely unmanned aerial vehicles like the Iranian-made Shahed drones. It was first revealed in an interview with a Ukrainian news outlet by Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi, the commander of the unmanned systems forces within the Ukrainian military.
The device is known as “Tryzub,” or trident in English, referencing the Ukrainian national symbol, which is superimposed in yellow on a blue background in the country’s now world-famous coat of arms.
Information on the new system is scarce and jealously guarded. It was first publicly mentioned by Sukharevskyi in mid-December when he revealed the weapon’s existence and some key parameters at a defense industry conference in Kyiv, as reported by the Ukrainian Interfax news agency. Asked about it again by Radio Free Europe in February of this year, he confirmed that the weapon was operationally deployed.

Russia has lost a million soldiers. Put this in context we didn't lose that many in all wars after ww2.... Russia daily death toll of personal is about1500 day in day out every day.... Moscow has very few options to maintain their 1500 kilometer front. The army is decimated. Unless China is willing to back them they will shortly be deleted of staff.

Russian response to this.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 13, 2025, are estimated to be:
·personnel - about 932,670 (+1,220) Russian troops were eliminated;

Ukrainian line in the area is held by the powerful 72nd Mechanized Brigade and a clutch of marine units, as well as the usual drone teams. Surveillance drones saw the Russians coming. First-person-view attack drones swarmed them. The resulting carnage was shocking, even by the terrible standards of Russia’s 38-month wider war on Ukraine.
Drones immobilized vehicles and then chased down the surviving passengers and crew as they bailed out. So many drones attacked at the same time that the explosion of one drone triggered the warhead of another flying nearby. Russians lost limbs and bled out.
None of the four Russian assault groups even reached Ukrainian positions, the Khortytsia OSG claimed. Surveilling the aftermath, Ukrainian drones counted two destroyed tanks, two destroyed armored personnel carriers, four wrecked all-terrain vehicles, four immobilized motorcycles and 50 dead Russians.

This is happening up and down the front. Before putin orders a retreat he will sign the cease fire. But it possible his commanders are not relaying the exact facts on the field and the condition of his army
He may be caught as blind as Hitler was when Berlin fell....
