Words can scarcely describe my utter disgust at this turn of events. Zelensky did what he could. He has more class in his pinky fingernail than Trump and Vance have in their entire bloated carcasses. Screw them! Mr Bones Spur’s blew a gasket because he couldn’t shake down Zelensky and Ukraine ! If Trumps next door neighbors house was on fire Trump would charge him for use of his hose and water!
For what it's worth, I have long held that Russia and China were jointly working to drain US resources (both money and munitions) for as long as possible before ramping up war efforts both in Ukraine and Taiwan while simultaneously calling in our debt and eventually having the world currency move to China at which point your Nato allies and many others would say the same thing as forecasted in your scenario.
If anything you should be thankful that for the first time Zelensky is returning home with empty pockets as we couldn't sustain 4 more years of propping them up.
But I'm a public school guy, so what do I know.

A three front scenario, similar to WWII, where America's previously non-existent industrial base was put into hyper drive. This is not a "boots on the ground" deal for the US but of course they would be the leading supplier of arms for Ukraine, Taiwan and Israel for their respective conflicts.
There is a great possibility that many if not all of the NATO countries contributing to Ukraine’s defense have good reason to bolster their own defenses against an unreliable and increasingly hostile America.
Trump wanted other NATO countries to spend more on defense, and now he’ll get his wish, but not in the way or for the reason that he wanted…..Will comrade Trump still keep the sanctions on Russia?

Actually I’d think Trump and the US will now be in violation of the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances, signed on December 5, 1994, between Ukraine, Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. You got that half right. Ukraine had elected a pro-Russian president. He was elected primarily by pro-Russian citizens in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea. That president was ousted in 2014 by Western Ukraine citizens and replaced by Western Ukraine. But that's ok, right? Because they were comrades, cozy to Russia? No, they were/are people just like you and me! 
It would be like Trump actually had an armed insurrection that booted Biden out and Trump took over. Half the country would be very upset, fight back.
