Being from Chicago, I can tell you Black kids getting shot and killed at a high rate occurs every day, every weekend, every holiday. Interesting to see that Fox News all of the sudden cares about shootings, and Black kids in Chicago when it can be used as a distraction to what is going on with COVID-19. Wonder how many times they reported such shootings over the last 3 years in Chicago? Maybe a tactic to distract from Trump's lack of leadership and incoherent strategy in addressing the pandemic? I thought Trump said early in his administration claimed the inner cities were important to him and he would be cleaning up Chicago????

Black Lives Matter has nothing to do with shootings in Chicago. The city has been the murder and shooting capital of the U.S. for past 4 decades, well before BLM even formed. It's called guns, gangs, and drugs.

Well the BLM movement was created to tackle police brutality, and racial injustice in the criminal "justice" system. But to answer your question, I do feel that BLM should care about the shootings in Chicago..absolutely. Quick question for you, Shouldn't the President of the United States care about the killings and shootings in the city of Chicago? Doesn't he have the authority to clean it up, just like he said he would at the start of his term? What happened to the national guard? Why not an executive order? I mean he creates meaningless executive orders for outdated, pointless walls, why not an executive order to actually solve a problem like guns?? hmmmm.

Why do people always bring up Chicago murders like it's unique?  People kill each other every single day in the country and it just so happens that a majority of murders are committed by people of the same color usually.  Black on black crime is a social economic issue.  Blue on black is a government problem.  The government will always be held to a higher standard than common folks murdering people.

Racism is absolutely an issue. Chicago is brought up in this thread because all of the Trumpers like to blame violence in cities like Chicago as being caused by BLM protests for some reason, which is not the cause. Chicago is frequently discussed because their shooting and murder rates are much higher than other cities.
