Why do people always bring up Chicago murders like it's unique? People kill each other every single day in the country and it just so happens that a majority of murders are committed by people of the same color usually. Black on black crime is a social economic issue. Blue on black is a government problem. The government will always be held to a higher standard than common folks murdering people. I don't know why you handwave racism as not an issue. It's absolutely prevalent in the US but you will believe what you want to believe from your egocentric bubble.
Good points!

Because it IS UNIQUE. There is no reason the people in the inner city should have to deal w this. They are the ones that suffer, but then again they continue to elect DEM leaders like Chicago mayor Lori Lightweight. Do YOU know what the definition of insanity is ?!
NYC is now giving a Chicago a run for its money. Mayoral incompetence and police defunding efforts... Hmmmm , are you seeing a pattern develop, or will you deny its existence ?!

Funny how people forget before all this nonsense, our economy was humming. Trump could be doing better handling this however I do understand it is hard when other elected officials used this as time to attack rather than fo their job to help the American people.

Who care's if the economy "was" humming? We are now in a recession. You think small businesses and unemployed citizens care about the economy in January 2020 now? Face reality man.

As of now many states are working at a fraction of capacity. Businesses are working with light staff. As we move on, more workers back to work. Business owners in democratic cities got screwed by their mayors and governors . The fed government offered help but they refused.

Sure. That must be it buddy. Nothing to do with the lack of the leadership in the Fed government. It's only the Democratic blue states struggling economically? I must have missed that memo, I thought it was the entire country.

How are those red state economies in Arizona, Florida, and Texas doing right now, just to name a few. Are they rejecting all of the fed government help too?

They aren't the only ones struggling, but they are really the ones that have mismanaged their state finances.... CA, NJ, NY, IL,...... These states are broke, and now here they are with their hand out looking for money from the rest of us taxpayers.
Do you see a trend here (DEM leadership in these states... or lack thereof. LOL)

I mean if you really think DEM ran cities and states are the only with violence, then there is really no point to have this conversation.

i don’t understand why you would want them to reject federal help?

Pretty much everyone cares that it ‘was’ humming. AND they want it to get back to where it was. And if unemployed citizens care about the economy and want to be employed again — re-elect the guy that has proven he can get the unemployment to record lows.

We cannot compare Obama's last three years to President Trump's economy in his first three years..
The reason :One month after President Trump's third year in office..Obama came out and took credit for the Economic Boom taking place under the Trump Administration...So,Obama's economy his last three years are to be compared to Obama's economy the first three years of the President Trump administration..
If, anyone say's President Trump's economy is failing..what they are saying in reality is Obama's economy in President Trumps 1st three years is failing...

Keep up. They aren't rejecting federal help. Scooby dooby was claiming that Democratic states are only struggling because they are rejecting help from Trump, which is absurd.

False. No one cares that it was humming. It doesn't matter now, and the country is not getting back to pre pandemic status any time soon. Trump's unemployment rates were low because they were in drastic decline before he got into office over the last two decades. His actual rates of unemployment decline are actually less than his predecessor Obama, who actually cut unemployment by more percentage wise after inheriting Bush' disaster.

Yes. People were very glad of the economy at that time AND they do want to see it get back to that point.
Bottomline. Trump got them to record lows in less than one term — Obama couldn’t do it in two terms.
Sure. American folks inherently built to strive to do better — despite Obama holding them back. Trump just loosened them up to surge!
No matter how you look at it Trump’s name goes down in the record book.
The rest. I would just recommend a little research and an open mind.

For example: people do better in a good economy. So, once they have experienced it — why would they not care about it and want it to be more like that?
Why can’t it get back to what it was pre-pandemic?
Those two questions have to be answered honestly and logically for your points to be valid.

Seriously not worth my time. You obviously do not know how recessions work, or that it takes years to recover from one like we are seeing now.

Intelligent counter-point to an uneducated remark.
Crowing about what it was allegedly like BEFORE is irrelevant and stupid....ask the 14-2 Baltimore Ravens how much it matters.
