Easy question to answer ...not just environmental roll backs..but rolling back all of Obama administrations actions...in other words just do the opposite of what Obama did..and "Viola" ..
Nice how is that working out for him right now? Getting rid of Obama's global pandemic response playbook and team looks like a solid move right now?
How about rolling back Obamacare and replacing with a better healthcare plan like Trumpcare? How is that going for your master???

All of this arguing over the past is so silly. There is no need for it. The bottom line is that Obama took office during a period of declining interest rates which historically remains the most drastic decline (as a % of the federal funds rate) ever. Rates bottomed out during Obama's time in office and remained on a flat line near zero for nearly his entire presidency. Trump took office during a period of rising rates which peaked around 2.4% but have now fallen back to Obama levels. I think all of this arguing over Obama and Trump and whose presidency was better for the economy is silly. One of the most influential variables in economic policy is not what Obama did or didn't do, but rather the Federal Fund Rates during his presidency. Obama benefited from the lowest period in USA history in this regard. Google a chart and there your proof will lie. Fubha...study some economics. Rush....use the economics to explain to the 5.6%-ers that their argument is silly. Trump's economy excelled during a period of rising rates BECAUSE of other economic policies. Obama benefited from falling rates. It's that simple.

We keep hearing about all of these great economic policies of his from you, yet you have not identified a single one of them.. No MAGAnomics is not the name of an actual policy. De-regulation is not the name of a policy.

Just responded. I'll wait for you to name a specific signature policy. Well duh of course interest rates were low when Obama took office, the U.S. was in a the midst of the worst recession since the Great Depression.. I suppose that is Obama's fault somehow that he took advantage of low interest rates caused by Bush' ineptitude creating the recession???

Deezy. You are clearly missing the point of my post and I'm not looking to argue with you on the most basic laws of economics. FYI, while I am over 30 years removed from an MBA with a focus on economic study, I can surely understand that most people do not possess the educational background to discuss this matter without their own inherent bias.
You dismissing my post so indiscriminately puts you in that category.

That is your response??? I just acknowledged your point. You not answering any of my questions, clearly shows you cannot think logically without being blinded by your own Trump bias. The inability to name a single signature Trump economic policy shows you do not have an answer, and tells me all I need to know about your position. Good day sir.

Wrong. I am saying the #1 factor in ANY period of time for ANY president is the Federal Funds Rate in regard to the direction of the economy. PERIOD.
FYI, I did not vote for Trump in 2016 so you are barking up the wrong tree on that point. It is, in fact, your hatred of Trump that is determining the direction which you have taken this thread.
You 5.6%-ers are so blinded by your hatred of Trump that it makes rational discussion impossible.

Incorrect. I have successfully pointed out that Trump does not own a single signature economic policy, which you have not been able to discredit. There should be countless formal economic policies on his record, since he has done so well with the economy, yet you nor the other Trumpers can name one. It has nothing to do with "hate" for Trump. I love when someone does not have a point or argument, and all they can come up with is "haters." Too funny.

If the economy is solely determined and guided by the Federal Funds Rate, then why so much praise for Trump's economic policies? It should not matter who the President is then correct, if it is solely determined by rates??? Are you deeming economic policies meaningless then? Clearly, you should not be so quick to defend Trump and his policies then? That clearly cannot be your position. So it comes back to my primary question, which none of you can answer. What is Trump's signature economic policyy???? I am still waiting..... How has his signature policy contributed to falling interest rates pre-pandemic???

First Deezy, please let me say when you partake in an ad hominen strategy (google it) in your arguments you do nothing but cause ruptures in your own credibility.
I did use the term haters, because it is clear to me there is nothing that Trump could ever do for which you would pen a positive word.
Now, back to the topic at hand. It is my opinion that the rolling back of many of Obama's policies by Trump has contributed to a rising economy during Trump's tenure despite rising interest rates. This is my opinion. Sarasota slim alluded to this earlier but you dismissed him in much the same way you have done with me with your ad hominen tactics. These tactics you are using are not conductive to a productive discussion.
The Affordable Healthcare Act has been a disaster in that it placed the responsibility of paying for "healthcare for all" on those with the highest incomes. It was hailed as Obama's biggest achievement, yet it has been nothing short of a disaster. Obama was not all that you project him to be. That is a truth that you simply not accept.

Again, simply rolling back a previous President's economic policies, is not a signature economic policy in any sense. Again, it is a strategy, but not a signature economic policy. So what is Trump's signature economic policy? That is right, he does not have one. I also disagree that the Affordable Care Act is a disaster, but you blasting it again reveals your bias toward Trump.
The healthcare system was a growing disaster long before Obama created the ACA, but nice effort. We all know healthcare prices and premiums were rising for decades. If it is such a disaster, why has Trump not been able to completely replace it with something better like he claimed he would??? Why is he claiming to protect pre-existing conditions provisions in the ACA, yet fighting in courts to eliminate them? Your weak arguments simply do not make sense. Why was the late McCain in Arizona so quick to vote against repealing it because Trump had no policy or plan to replace it? Anyway you do not have any real arguments for Trump's signature economic policies because they do not exist, which is what I thought.
Rolling back a previous President's policies out of spite because you hate that he made fun of you and are jealous is hardly a sound economic strategy, but ok buddy.

Obviously, you are mistaking me with someone else. I have never touted any "signature economic policy" that you keep repeating over and over yet you keep mentioning it as if I had.
What I am saying is that the rolling back of many of Obama's policies had a POSITIVE ECONOMIC IMPACT during a period of RISING FEDERAL FUND RATES.
Show me a President that has had falling unemployment along with record job growth coupled with rising GDP during a period of rising rates. I will show you one. Trump.

To further my point, I wonder how many $4,000 per month health insurance premium checks you had to write in the years immediately following the passage of the ACA? Many of my friends and their families were faced with the harsh reality that they either pony up the 4K a month or suffer the consequences of an illness bankrupting their future.
So...how many monthly 4k checks did you have to write?
To my eyes, it seems so much easier to support destructive economic policies when you are on the receiving end.
So....how many monthly checks?

The old I hate Trump and didn't vote for him in 2016...but he is the greatest President ever guy! Sureeee. No you didn't say anything about signature policies because you know Trump doesn't have any obviously. But your boy Rush kept asking what Obama's signature policies were, so the question was aimed at him. So rolling back Obama's policies as the sole reason for economic growth??? So Obama's policies had zero to do with his own success during his 8 years in office? So his economic policies only sucked, yet he experienced higher GDP and job creation than Trump??? Your arguments are simply nonsensical. They can't both benefit and hurt the economy at the same time. You guys seriously need to work on your arguments. No signature policies for Trump aside from rollbacks? Seriously?? Thats it?

Trump.
Seriously?? Thats it?

It's helped in what way??? Trying to take people's healthcare coverage is beneficial for the masses??? Trying to rip pre-existing conditions coverage is helpful so people cannot get the treatment they need to survive and contribute to the economy by working??? Come on guy...common sense please. You seriously need to study some polling data on American's views on Trump's healthcare strategy, if you think they prefer his to the ACA. You guys are seriously so detached from reality it's disturbing.

I'm waiting.
I have a family of 4 and never had to dole out 4k a month during Obama's time, so I have no idea what kind of coverage they required or their health backgrounds. Sounds like they must have had some serious health concerns. So, some of your friends had to pay high costs, so you hate the ACA?? Nice argument. Didn't impact you in any way? Love the friends argument. Talk about weak.

Any other questions? https://money.cnn.com/2017/01/06/news/economy/obama-over-11-million-jobs/index.html Really ?? HE created those jobs ? Through what policy achievement ? I'll wait..... It appears Trump walked into a solid economy and presided over job growth, which wasn't the case when Obama took over after disastrous Bush. You seem to deflect a lot because you do not have any answers for what Trump has supposedly done. Classic. I've provided ample articles detailing Obama's policies and achievements, while you cannot seem to provide a single answer or source for Trump's economic "policy achievements." Not surprised. You do not add anything of substance in your posts. Again what has Trump done? You frame him as the messiah, yet cannot name a single specific signature economic policy because one does not exist. I'll give you a specific one for Obama it's called the "American Recovery and Investment Act of 2009." Read up on it. Funneled $180 billion back into a Bush recession economy, and paved the way for the economy to recover from the biggest recession at the time since the Great Depression. Now...name just a single signature economic policy for Trump and how it is currently leading to success for our economy??? Again....I'll wait.....and I'll keep waiting because I know you cannot name one. I'm sure your response will be something basic like "de-regulation," so specific. Too funny. You have nothing. Concede.
How about a reduction in the personal tax rate AND business tax rate AND deregulation. The business tax rate had gone from one of the worst in the developed world to one of the most competitive. That should matter to you if you like job growth and a healthy 401k.

Real GDP growth under President Trump has beaten the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) projections every year and exceeded the rate of the Obama Administration’s expansion.
5 million more jobs have been added than the CBO projected prior to the 2016 election.
The economy added more jobs in 2019 alone than the CBO projected would be created during the President’s first three years in office.
The unemployment rate is 1.4 percentage points lower than the CBO’s pre-election projection.

Obama didn't cut taxes? Again, cutting taxes for the wealthy is not really a signature economic policy, but ok bro. Again de-regulation is not a formal economic policy. What was his comprehensive de-regulation policy called????

CREATING NEW OPPORTUNITY: Thanks to the President’s policies, millions of jobs have been added to our economy, creating new opportunity for every American.
Nearly 7 million jobs have been created nationwide since President Trump’s election, including more than 500,000 manufacturing jobs.
Last year, the unemployment rate reached its lowest level in half a century.
Unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Americans without a high school degree, and disabled Americans have logged record lows.
The Trump economy is bringing workers off the sidelines after they were left behind for years.
The prime-age labor force has expanded by 2.3 million under President Trump after shrinking by almost 1.6 million under the previous administration.

Where did this guy come from? Thanks for chiming in. We have been through this bro. Rush said presidents cannot take credit for job creation apparently. Obama's unemployment achievements were greater than Trump's. Facts.
