Trump will Nature. He has been waiting 35 years to Make America Great Again unlike the Left who is here to destroy it. His taxes should be a non issue.

This reminds me of the family episode where he starts the church of the fonz.  Seems like cha chi is the perfect spokesman for trump supporters as and expert vs lawyer, accountant or other intelligent, educated experienced person. 

But I guess when you hate intelligence, education and experience it all makes sense.

5. if this wasn't a big deal to people, why wouldn't he just release his taxes like every other candidate does.  this also reinforces the belief that there's probably more garbage out there and worse garbage since he still isn't releasing his taxes.


if you are drinking the trump koolaid, nothing trump can do will be a negative, but if you look at it objectively, i think you can see how this is a negative for him.

Wouldn't the people that gained money from Trumps loses have to pay taxes on their gains and balance out for Trumps net operating loss's ?

I also saw a article that claimed that 1 million people in 1995 took a carry forward loss on their tax returns ..in fact didn't Hillary and Bill Clinton avoided taxes the same way ?

I can't claim that it's true ..need more time to investigate ,,nevertheless  I see on Zerohedge where the Clinton's 2015 tax returns reveal that Hillary Clinton also reported capital gains losses in order to lessen her tax burden through a "carryover." just like Trump...

They are saying that the Clintons reported a "Long-term capital loss carryover" of $699,540.....a  net long-term capital gain or (loss)" of "-$699,540."

you're getting pretty technical.  i just don't think people are going to dig that deep.  this is the kind of thing that is perfect for 30 second soundbites.

for me, i don't care too much that he didn't pay taxes.  none of us like paying taxes.  all of us would use whatever tax laws we could to reduce our tax liability.

the tax code is fucked up, no doubt about that, but that isn't trump's fault. it's people like trump, on both sides, who buy people in congress who make the tax laws favorable for them.  but it's not a trump specific issue by any means.

i'm saying for the reasons i mentioned, this is a pretty big negative for him and it's not a good time for this after the debate and with trump losing ground and not much time left.

Yeah you can tell the bleeding is awful here because of the amount of effort and desperation being put into damage control. 

To think that trump is a genius because he personally did his own taxes and found loop holes is a silly but this is what is being fed to the low information trump supporters who are eating it up. 

You make a good point about the tax system being messed up and how it is not a partisan issue as both sides are manipulated by lobbyists and money.  and I pay my accountant to try to help in paying the least amount of taxes in a legal manner so that isn't the issue. 

To me the real issue is that this is a character issue.  That in the debate when trump feels stress or is emotionally uncomfortable he unravels and comes across as such a  douchebag.  So it's not that he hasn't paid his Fair share of taxes, it is how he is so smug about it while the Normal middle class American pick up the tab on the taxes he should be paying if he is making so much money. 

Deceptive Donald's refusal to be honest and transparent about his taxes and finances say so much about him.  But his reaction under stress during the debate has proven to be such a liability that the damage control effort to spin this seem so desperate knowing they any chance of trump winning is slipping away and fast

You say I'm getting pretty technical. ....technical...what's technical about proving that Trump paid all the taxes,, that were legally due and that the net loss carry over was not a loop hole ?

Trump not paying taxes was 22 years ago ..the NYTimes not paying taxes was two years ago and the Clinton's net loss carry over was one year ago....that's not technical that's just facts..

i'm saying the discussion over this won't get that technical.  it'll be-  trump lost nearly a billion dollars in a year and he paid no taxes.  it won;t be an in-depth discussion of the tax code as it relates to carrying over losses, etc. 

you might be right, but people and the media don't tend to get into the details, especially this close to the election.

Everyone knows that our tax code is a mess, rigged in the favor of the wealthy.  I have a much bigger problem with all of his bankruptcies. Many people were ripped off when he wouldn't pay up while hiding behind bankruptcy laws.  Both could use a major overhaul.

First let me say I am not a Trump supporter but I really don't understand this tax argument when there is so much other bullsh!t you can use against him.

Unless it was blatant tax evasion I could care less how little or no taxes he paid as long as he worked within the system. I am sure we can all agree the tax code is broken, and if he manipulated it to his benefit than good for him.

Change the darn!ng abortion of a tax system if your unhappy.

There is not one of us here that doesn't try to reduce our tax liability and use every deduction or loophole we can find.

It's hypocritical to criticize anybody using the tax laws in their favor.

As a final thought in the end whoever wins the election we all lose.

Along with the fat Miss Universe,this issue only has Legs because The New York Times (All the News That Fits the Script) and HC can croak however many times they like that HC won the debate and Trump should be Impeached now,She ain't separating from this abomination.
She knows she has been doing tax returns that can be run on by Bill/her for 20 years while Trump has been working in the Real World for that time and his returns are reflective.With the aid of the Mediaistias,Trump doesn't even have to bend a Law to be pillared for the low-information crowd.
The Chubby Miss Universe had a Weight Clause and could have been canned.

For me, it's not about him not paying income tax.  It's about him previously criticizing others for not paying their fair share when he was fully aware he was not paying it either.  It's another example of his hypocrisy and pandering just so to get votes.
