    Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is asking applicants looking to serve on state boards and commissions to write explanations of what thy admire about her leadership. I think that would be pretty hard to do.

    Wonder where she learned this ego striking exercise?

    @UNIMAN

     Maybe if you did less pot stirring and partisan blaming and more listening and considering more than your biased sources you might learn a few things. You are 100% wrong that anything is partisan that either side has more or less fault than the other.

    Does it make you feel superior to play partisan games like these posts in this thread? The same people you rail against most every day are no different than you, in fact they are more civil and have more control over their temper than you.

    The longer you follow partisan idiocy the more the media wins and you lose.

    Never said anyone here is not civilized now have I, so why make that statement? Labeling me something I'm not? My own EYES saw the Tennessee House protest and saw the uncivilized actions. Guess if you can stop traffic and stomp on police cars without consequences why not stomp your way in the state legislature screaming through a blowhorn?

    And partisan blaming? Nah, that doesnt happen here until UNIMAN showed up.an_roll_laugh

    I dont start bullshit partisan threads here, did you notice? I am more.......... reactionary. And I dont hold back and I have an ever temper. If you really knew me you would know.

    Strongly believe in integrety, honor, and truth. When I see crap I call it out.

    So you wonder then, why Trump if integrety, honor, and truth are so important. Because there is no one else at this point. He embelishes and exaggerates very well yet his oversized ego serves the american people very well. He has been dead on with so many things, especially foreign policy. He is driven.

    And the other factor. The Left, IMO, has never been so hateful and dishonest in my long lifetime. The first impeachment was based on a purchased lie. The Trump sided with neo-nazi's at Charlottesville was a lie. Saying there was good on both sides was the truth, some folks want the history remembered flaws and all, and some want it erased. Saying there were bounties on troops was a lie. Saying Trump praises dictators because of envy is a lie. I saw with........MY OWN EYES AND EARS, he is worried we are being outplayed. He is right. I can go on and on.

    There is no felony in NewYork. So he has a muddy past. He is human, Clinton was human and he did it as president. No decent capable person would run for president just to endure what Trump is going through now and it will only get worse. So that pushes me even stronger into Trumps corner.

    Did the Tennessee politicians stop traffic and stomp on cars? Did I miss something here?

    And some of those same people who "want history remembered, flaws and all" are the same people who don't want kids taught about people like Harriett Tubman because they say it's critical race theory. Remembering history and celebrating history are too separate things. The Germans, and the world should always remember the Holocaust. It doesn't mean we should be erecting statues of Heinrich Himmler.

    @UNIMAN

     Oh, and one more thing. There weren't good people on both sides. There were definitely bad people on both sides. Antifa protest are always filled with bad actors prone to violence. However to say that there were good people on both sides, I'm sorry but no. If you are marching through the street yelling "person will not replace us!" you are not a good person. If you turn on the news and see said march and look over at your wife and say, "Maybe we should go down and participate tomorrow? Peacefully of course," you are not a good person. If you are trying to "remember history" by preserving statues of the leaders of a succession, who fought primary to retain the right to enslave human beings, you are not a good person.

    My wife's several times great granddaddy was a confederate soldier along with his brothers. And there's a possibility that they owned slaves. We don't hide from this. We don't scrub him from her family tree. He is a direct ancestor. We honor him. However my wife isn't around here flying confederate flags in honor of him. We honor the man being that she is his descendant. We don't honor the confederacy. Yet the fact is you can go into states all across the north, in the far reaches of Maine, in your own home state, and in my adopted home state, etc, and find people "honoring" the confederacy who have zero ties to the south. They are not good people regardless of how they carry on in the rest of their lives.

    @philschnaars

    This shows your bias as you think one partisan side gets treated better than others. For all mods here it is about the rules of the site and that is it. If you break the rules of the site we take action, outside of that I feel bad for people who think like a few of you do (on both sides) to have such a narrow under-informed perspective is unfortunate. Seeing people here, out in the world that carry a jaded angry view of others is what brings society down and MANY here fit that descript.

    Thanks for completely missing reality though.

    Stu, I will get right to the point. I was taught and learned about Harriett Tubman in high school in the 1970's. And I do not see anyone opposing African American History. I grew up in a diverse community, went to diverse schools. When I graduated and entered the job market three times affirmative action held me back because I was and am a white male. Never got mad about, kinda understood, yet the same kids who had the same opportunities in the same classes in school were now given favortism. OK. I just tried harder and succeeded. I have worked with all races, nationalites, gender, gays, etc. Some good, some great, some bad--- everyone is different. And I worked mostly for democrats in my public sector career. (Dont ask what, I am not saying ) Worked for great Dems, average, one horrible.

    Lets talk about the horrible one. This guy was appointed after our elected leader died in office. Our org at that time was top heavy with senior employess. So this guy offers the union 5 years of extra seniority so they can all retire early in exchange for a two tiered wage system where new employees would make just over a 1/3 less doing the same job as existing employees. The greedy union bought it. To add to that this guy demanded we hire his political cronies. These were people who couldn't hold a job in the private sector, all white I'll add as it has nothing to do with race or bias.

    Our org went from a smooth running efficent operation to division and hatred between lowered tiered and upper tier. Add to that worthless political cronies that got away with shit nobody else could do. Thank GOD this man did not survive the next election. It took us years to undo the harm caused.

    That is what I see today. People in positions who have no business being there. Those who want to create divisions that we as a country worked so hard and so long to eliminate. These folks want a tiered system not an equal system. It is failure waiting to happen.

    Parents tell the leaders, Hey, we don't want our young children exposed to porn or racial division at such a young age. THEY'RE BURNING BOOKS!!an_getaway

    When I see parents White Privlege commercials on tv I laugh my ass off. Whats the privilege? Having parents giving proper direction? The man responsible for the child actually setting a good example?

    If both sides were bad than how did "peaceful protesters" get run over by an idiot? Or was the only good those you agree with?

    I dont really have a position either way. And to best of my knowledge a peaceful protest was planned to protest the removal of a statue. The civil war was much more than slavery. And yes, bad actors from both sides hijacked a peaceful protest. But there were "good folks on both sides"!

    Why dont you post "THE RULES" for all to see? Afterall, that would be the fairest thing to do.

    And when someone gets boxed or banned post the rule they violated.

    WHY CANNOT THIS BE DONE?

    Where did I use the words "peaceful protest"? Where did I mention anyone getting run over? Where did I say I agreed with any of them? I simply stated that there was bad on both sides. That Antifa style protestors are often violent and inflammatory. However I stand ten toes behind my statement that while there was bad on both sides, there is no good in protesting the removal of confederate statues. You can remember history. You can acknowledge it but you don't have to honor stains on history. And again, if you watched people walk through the streets shouting, "person will not replace us!" on Friday night, carrying Home Depot tiki torches, and you still decided to wake up Saturday morning and go protest the removal of a confederate statue, in the 21st century, you are not a good person. There were no good people on both sides. I don't care if they were volunteering at the soup kitchen the week before, they were not good people.

    @UNIMAN

     As far as the video, man, is that really him though? It looks like just a random dude with a similar build. There's no close up on his face or anything. If that's really him, that would be a better grounds for expulsion.

When I graduated and entered the job market three times affirmative action held me back because I was and am a white male. Never got mad about, kinda understood, yet the same kids who had the same opportunities in the same classes in school were now given favortism. OK.

    I laugh when I hear or read statements like this because I 100% know it's a complete lie. "Three times affirmative action held me back because I was am am a white male." an_roll_laugh Sure it did buddy. How do you know this? The companies you applied for told you that you did not get the job because you are white?? Sorry we had to go with the black guy. No reputable business or hiring personnel would ever tell a viable candidate or anyone this. How did you even know you were passed up three times for a minority candidate? Who informed you of this? How do you know someone else wasn't hired because of more experience or better qualifications. I know this is BS, especially because of the source. an_lightNice effort to avoid coming off sounding racist but the entire post failed in that aspect. an_cheers
