So, what you're saying Lordspoint is President Obama and Mayor Bloomberg don't have any decency..
The President started the debate when he came out today promising to take "meaningful action" to prevent futher mass shootings ...and the Mayor of NYCity Michael Bloomberg made a statement after that saying... he isn't satisfied with President Obama's promise to take "meaningful action" to prevent future mass shootings.
"The country needs him to send a bill to Congress to fix this problem – and take immediate executive action,"....

No words can describe or justify your stance on this matter. So don't even freaking bother, unless you change your position on this matter.
Oh, and thank God it wasn't one of your family.
First of all...
my thoughts and prayers goes out to all the students, teachers and family who were effected by this...
It really was a sad day and an extremely tragic thing for all involved...
not sure why you are trying to take such severely painful and difficult incident and taking it as a petty opportunity to Spin it into partisan rhetoric...
With all your anti-GOP talk you have become consumed to the point that you have lost perspective only rivaled the most obsessive and pathetic on this site...
take a moment and reflect on what happened rather then immediately starting up partisan babbling....
prayers goes out to you... I hope you can work it out

RIP to those innocent children. I can't think of a more horrific scene than what transpired there. 5 year olds are usually shielded from the dangers of the world and I'm sure they were bewildered at what was transpiring, it's just unfathomable. This trumps the Batman midnight movie massacre within in 5 months.
What's the solution here? Bad people will always be able to acquire guns one way or another. These guns belonged to his Mother, he killed her too. This kid is 20 years old, where does the ability to even consider doing this reside? Why not just put a bullet in your own head if your that gone? These poor families, they have nothing that could help them make any sense of why they lost their child.
The government never does anything that helps, if you don't know that by now, shame on you. Exhibit A on that is "Homeland Security" created post 911. Do you feel safer at the airport with the TSA there? I just feel hassled. If someone wants to subvert them it'll be done behind that imaginery security they provide either infiltrated or otherwise.

The government cannot protect citizens using one hand while directing traffic for the lobbyists and corporations who run government with the other.
Normal citizens do not write legislation, it is the elite with money who write legislation and own our government.
This means nothing to the gun industry and the NRA..politicians might talk some smack but they arent likely going to shut down the very groups that pay their ticket into congress. Until putrid lobby groups like the NRA are OUT there is no chance for protection to the average citizen.

If you ban assault weapons, this tragedy still happens. the gunman used multiple handguns. We live in a country the size of Europe and we each have similar tragedies that occur with the same frequency, it just isn't reported as widely in the United States. Crazy people will do crazy things. A man stabbed 20 children in China the other day at a school...he found a way. This kid was nuts and as it turns out had multiple mental health issues. I'm for stricter gun laws but not banning guns. People with diagnosed mental health problems shouldn't be allowed to own guns. You should never ever adopt far reaching intrusive legislation as a result of an isolated horrendous incident. You have to see the bigger picture.

You left out a fairly important fact: not one of those kids died.

How
many more kindergartens, movie theaters and shopping malls have to be shot up
before the thick-skulled NRA apologists get the message
that the U.S. has a problem with access to guns, specifically assault rifles?!?

This has nothing to do with gun control. People that think so are already for gun control. How well did setting the drinking age at 21 do in preventing underage drinking? Are we going to outlaw hunting? If rapes increase, are we going to outlaw d$%#@? This guy was a nut job! You will never convince me that a disagreement with his Mother set him off. I am so tired of hearing friends and families of idiots like this say "We are shocked. We had no idea". #$%$! They already said he was autistic. Wait for the rest of the story. The guy who shot his Dad at the small college was a train wreck. The theatre guy scared plenty of people that could have stepped up and prevented it. Instead of wringing our hands after the fact. Let's start holding these lunatics friends and family to the fire when it can be proven there is a history with that person. By the way, I don't own a gun because I have 2 sons. My choice as a thinking father, not the government's.

Um, considering that two pistols and a rifle were recovered at the shooting scene, labeling those "assault weapons" makes you seem not that informed on this matter.

Why don't you tell us how this shooter obtained these weapons?
Please, I can't wait to hear all about it from you.

NBC News reports that Lanza had an “altercation” with four school staff members the day before, the Sandy Hook massacre ( red flag)...three of the four Sandy Hook Elementary staff members including the school psychologist was also among those who died Friday ... the 4th wasn't at the school that day..
Conn. "gun control laws" currently in effect worked to stop the purchase of a weapon by Adam Lanza ..
Two days before Lanza went to a person's Sporting Goods store in Danbury, Conn., to buy a rifle, but was rejected..he state has a waiting period for gun sales..and he didn't want to undergo a background check ..officials claim..
Looks like this event points more to the horrible state of our mental health system in America ..

In a press conference today it was stated that the children was 1 graders age 6-7 and all the victims was shot between 3-11 times with two SEMI Automatic guns and a full AUTOMATIC riffle.
I think it is still valid to get semi and full automatic weapons of the streets.

What an absolute tragedy, but lowIQ will always add levity to a dark moment.
here we go with the insults... specifically intelligence...
you always resort to this when you are embarrassed getting owned on multiple threads.... your "Tell" is so obvious...
We can tell you are upset because of your engaging in personal attacks and combative posting... If you were not shaken there would be no reason to be so negative and insulting...
keep it up... you are only proving the point that your egg shell of an ego has gotten broken again

You start a thread about banning guns while having a moniker and avatar of a person who used guns to kill people ............

Well first it was a class of kg'ers which puts the credibility of your source in doubt; second, drugs are illegal, are they off the streets?
