Looking at some of the "highlights" from last night's DNC...... did they really think having the Clinton's speak for them would be helpful? Obama?

Capped off with Harris standing alone clapping. This whole production has been like a bad pilot that should've been left in the tape room.

Wait until next week when the RNC does a memorial video of Roy Cohn.

Today your boy said "The F-35 is stealth. Totally stealth. You can't see it."

He doesn't realize that "stealth" doesn't mean invisible.

He wouldn't recognize a stealth bomber if it bit him in his fat ass!

Biden made it through his speech. an_cheers

But he's full of dung. His criticism of Trump on the virus was laughable. He wrote it off as "fearmongering & xenophobic" when Trump imposed travel bans in January........& said "masks weren't needed"........& how can you criticize someone for not having a stockpile of PP gear when you were the one that left the cupboards bare? And not a word about all the violence & riots in cities around the country.

The rest was just fluff & rhetoric. sleep2

Left the cupboards bare? They left an entire pandemic response team that Trump axed, a plan that Trump ignored, a ventilator order, that though delayed, was placed by Obama, that Trump canceled only to have to reorder at a higher price. Art of the deal, right? If the cupboards were bare, Trump had three years to restock them. He was too busy catering to wealthy private interests with tax cuts, industry deregulation, under the guise of growing the economy for the American people. Very little of thar growth "trickles down" to the people though. It just makes the super rich even richer, which has always been his goal. Three years to restock those bare cupboards.

OK Stu, you're right about that. Trump probably dropped the ball there. But as far as the trickle down goes, I know three guys that run their own biz (two are Trump-haters) that have prospered in the last three years.......they've hired & expanded. Now these aren't massive biz's......each probably does $1-2M/year so it's not a huge boon to the economy, but after being stagnant for a decade or so, it has been welcomed.

I can't believe I'm defending Trump.......but I've seen what has become of Seattle over the last 20 years, & with the progressively socialist movement of the DNP, I'm worried it will only get worse.

I'm not dragging Trump. I'm actually a Trump supporter though I have faded a bit. Doesn't mean that i'm supporting Biden. I just believe in calling a spade a spade. What partisan politics has become is a scam. As i'm known to say, they get the American people is a tizzy, arguing over which side is right/wrong, and meanwhile nobody is minding the till. We are not holding our politicians accountable. For example, why is it nearly impossible to see what's in a bill. They give us a broad view. "This bill includes this, this, and this." but every bill has a ton of shit that doesn't relate to the actual cause. Just look at these recent disaster relief bills. Democrats trying to put in money for illegals. Republicans trying to put in 377 million for White House upgrades when there are Americans struggling to eat. To pay their rent. We have several cable news networks, essentially devoted to 24/7 political coverage yet on neither of them does a show exists where a political analyst simply says, "Today we are going to break down the X,Y,Z bill." It's because of the systematic dumbing down of America. We have information tools, highspeed computers, in our pockets at all times and yet somehow we are dumber and more misinformed thst ever. We believe in some of the most ridiculous shit, because we read the headline of an article on flipping Facebook or Twitter, that any nutjob can post, and we don't even fact check it. We don't do our own research. We are a country with a short attention span and an aversion to reading. Recipe for disaster.

     Spot on, Stu.......couldn't agree more.

I saw this Levin guy read off some points from a 110-page proposal written by Bernie Sanders. He says this has been out for a while but no one has read it. It was as socialistic as you can get. But I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else. I didn't know it existed. It's the kind of thing we should know more about before voting. peace_5

And if the cupboards were indeed bare, your boy had 3+ years to refill them & he couldn't even do that properly.

Stop looking for others to blame but if you must, look in the mirror because people like you put this POS in the WH.

more accurate was the possibility of Hillary being president as the main reason.

Don't blame me for his weak effort. You need to be honest with yourself......Biden is just a figurehead for the new Socialist Party.

Socialism is alive & well in America & has been here for a very long time. People like you are too ignorant to realize it. So get comfortable...I'll explain

You love Socialism and don't even realize it. Do you like our military & defense? How about our highways/roads/turnpikes; do you use and like them?  How about libraries...wait never mind. How about the police, fire department, postal service..do you like them? How about bridges; do you use bridges? Does your garage get collected? Doesn't your garbage go into public landfills? How about the FBI & CIA keeping us safe; do you appreciate their efforts? How about he EPA? Do you care about our environment? You on Social Security yet? How about prisons? Do you think we need them? Ever been to a museum? How about health care for our veterans? Do you give a shit about them? Ever play sports in a park or just walk your dog in a park? How about your sewer system? Do you need that? How about our Court System? Ever been to a zoo? How about a beach? Ever use a city bus or train system? Do you have lights in your neighborhood?

You benefit from all of these Government Run Taxpayer funded socialist programs, agencies and laws. We are a capitalist country with the "good" part of socialist ideas sprinkled in which makes our country the best and unlike any other. The two co-exist & have for decades. I also believe in freedom & I believe options are a form of freedom. I can use the Post Office or FedEx. My kids can decide to send their kids to private of public schools.

Socialism is not a bad thing. It's a foundation as much as capitalism is in our country. Claiming socialism is bad because of radical and non-factual comparisons to Hitler & Stalin is like saying all guns are bad because we have knuckleheads misusing them.

So you & others can stop the socialism fear mongering. I'll end with this comment from FDR..

"Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a president and senators and congressman and government officials but the voters of this country."

Isnt socialism always in play? Socialism isnt only Medicare, Medicaid, UE boost..that is population socialism and is the leaning of the DNC, that is their platform for distribution. The GOP's version of socialism is military socialism, corporate socialism, elitist socialism. To me they are both equally distribution of benefit and overall equity. One group gets paid and another does not.

Id lean to low to mid class socialism over corporate and military socialism every single day of the week.
