Why do so many Americans not know how Impeachment works?

Reporter in Detroit.. interviewing people lined up for a shot at what some described as "Obama money" - funds provided by the federal government to help low-income residents.

Reporter: Why are you here?

WOMAN: To get some money.

Reporter: What kind of money?

WOMAN: Obama money.

Reporter: Where's it coming from?

WOMAN: Obama.

Reporter: And where did Obama get it?

WOMAN: I don't know, his stash. I don't know. (laughter) I don't know where he got it from, but he givin' it to us, to help us.

But you are correct — even those folks had to educate themselves.  So she says in this article:

Sorry. Was watching the game.   Obviously, meant I DO recall folks thinking Obama was gonna give them money.  

But it is sad that people do not understand the impeachment process.  But I think it is generally the same folks that do not understand the reasoning for the electoral college either.  The same folks that want 16-year-olds to vote — etc. etc.

Don’t you think it’s kind of conflict of interest ??? It shouldn’t be part of anything done in the White House. The USA’s political stance should not be effected because the king of Saudi Arabia loaned or gave someone money. Anyone who has accepted large sums of money from a foreign government should not be allowed to run for president. That being said, I don’t know if this is true. It’s sad we can’t trust the media much any longer. If it is true, then the problem should have been spotted long before now and the appropriate action taken....The Presidents continued defense  for the Saudi Royal family is blinding, Do you think his tax returns will show his innocence ? Better yet let the Biden’s & The Trumps show all there cards and I’ll bet you we would be needing a new liar and chief in Washington

Jp, I don't believe it's illegal to for a company to make money in a foreign country.   It's called doing business  ( all prior to his becomingpres.); Trump had to disengage from his company to avoid any conflict of interest... while a member of the government .

How is this remotely similar to the Bidens.. who profited immensely while a member of the government. an_light

Trump never divested his holdings in his businesses or placed them in a blind trust.Now a question for you? How did Joe Biden profit or receive anything of value from a foreign govt while in office?

You mean when Joe Biden had a known corrupt Ukrainian top prosecutor fired?

This is wrong and quite obviously wrong.  To say something like this with certitude takes away from your point.  
For example:

“A 2014 Pew Research Survey found that 41% of USA Today’s audience is consistently or mostly liberal, 32% Mixed and 27% consistently or mostly conservative. This indicates that they are preferred by a more liberal audience.

Overall, we rate USA Today Left-Center Biased based on editorial positions that slightly favor the left and factually high due to proper sourcing. (7/10/2016) Updated (M. Huitsing 10/9/2019”

Fair enough.  But don’t think that site considers editorials. 

For example:
It's important to note that sometimes, a media outlet with a Center rating misses important perspectives. Some believe USA TODAY's editorial pieces have a Lean Left bias.

But i used to read it daily when I traveled and it is not center in that regard for sure.  They do/used to have some conservative columnists but in their slant on stories I always felt that leaned left. Mediabias where I got my quote is usually pretty accurate.  

I am not sure it is fair to say people from both sides read the paper.  It is the most-wifey read paper (and most readily and easily available in airports and hotels) — so, obviously everyone reads it.

But to be fair to you — I have no clue what your article was about.  I just noticed your comment about usatoday.  I loved it when it first came out — especially for the sports page. 
But I assumed the Biden bit was their slant on why what he did was okay.  Which I’m sure would be somewhere left of say a Fox perspective. 
That was my only point.

That was my only point.  
The article was about the removal of Shokin (Ukraines corrupt top prosicutor) and who wanted him gone and why. 

Here is another article on what Biden did.


Even though Frank and rush are trying to spin conspiracy theories about Biden there is plenty of proof to the contrary.

Can I offer a suggestion to anybody that is interested in whether Trump should be impeached or not ? ( which should be everybody reading this that is an American citizen)

Go read the transcript of the conversation trump had w the Ukrainian president.  ( I have)  Go on the internet and read the transcript and come to your own conclusion whether Trump engaged in any  wrongdoing,  let alone an impeachable offense.

It's really sad that so many people get their information from the "filtered " mainstream media... it's unfortunate,  but nowadays people have to rely on their own due diligence to seek the facts.   Nothing is more authentic than the actual transcript

It's not a transcript. It's a summary. The call was close to 30 minutes long and the summary that trump put out accounted to 18 minutes. Wht's in the 12 missing minutes?
